When I say that I love you,
I mean that right now,
in this moment,
I am in love with you.
I mean that I care about you.
I mean, that right now,
in this moment,
I would like to be with you for the long run.
I mean that right now,
in this moment,
I can see myself being with you forever.

When I say that I love you,
I do NOT mean that I can promise that I WILL love you forever.
It only means that right now,
in this moment,
I would like to try.
I do NOT mean that I think loving you will be easy.
It only means that right now,
in this moment,
I think it will be worth it.
I do NOT mean that I expect you to always agree with me.
I do NOT mean that I expect you to love me in exactly the same way.
I ONLY mean that I hope that you can try
to love me too.

Where he went,
I don't know,
but he came back
bearing an abundance of gifts,
filled with love and desire
to try again.

And as he filled me with joy,
bursting at the seams,
all I could do was smile and nod.

I just hope it lasts.

Some days I have to breathe a little bit louder, cry a little bit harder, just so that i can realize I'm still alive without you.
Some days I can still hear the beating of whatever is left of my heart and if I could take all that is left and give it to you.
And I'm starting to think that you left because I ran out of lovable pieces and all that was left of me was the pent up anger and self-hatred.
And maybe one day I will be okay without you, but I will never stop missing you.
