stone ground mustard Venus burns. She's not concerned that constant falling
and orbits, elliptical - are the same thing.
Her eyes are deaf. My eyes adapt to the pattern
that rattles the chain of events.
my Spartan theories dangle in dubiousness.
I find a trap, and call it Seattle... for i see cattle -
grazing a state of mind; north, north west of what God meant.
washing tons of pocket lint by hand.
chewing their cud
in the dark. meanwhile - outside the ranch...
My eyes refract. ***** and un-***** in the black lacquer that came -
with the oblique miracle. they sustain things that would sunder a doll-eyed bovine
to ever breach The Fence.
my hardened arteries jangle like numinous. I pine and snap ruinous barbs from Death's
prattle... for i see battle, razing the Grace of Time
more at war, than at our best. more -
bereft of what Reason defends.
tossing guns at bullets
by telekinesis.

i come from where i've never been. you were there. and ewe were there; fleeced and bleating
in the snow that fell as soon as shearing ceased. i recall, you were never there. but remember
passing you by... shilling an ocean roar you swore you'd plucked from a Seashell -
salvaged from the divine dry sockets of Poseidon's skull.
you were hawking your unawares. i played a flute made of question marks and glass drum skins.
i went where my stride was inclined, and never where i went to.
i never arrived by approaching the destination. only by always being somewhere else
till i got there. i came from where i'd never been and -
ain't been Nowhere since.

but i'm sure i pass
through There

ever since.

I.

If you don’t leave my house
I’ll ******* **** you.

II.

I’ll ******* **** you
if you don’t leave my house.

III.

I’ll bash your skull in
with this baseball bat
if you don’t leave now.

IV.

No, you don’t live here; please leave.
Don’t make me **** you.

V.

No, you don’t have ***.
Call the cops, Andrew.
You have until the count of ten
to leave, or else I’m going to use this
bat.

VI.

You don’t legally live here; you don’t
pay rent, nor is your name on the lease.
Quit telling me you’re ready to die.

VII.

Quit closing the door.
Get off of me! I want to **** you.

IX.

Quit screaming that I kidnapped you.
I found you here, hunched over
naked
in my closet. Stay right there,
put your clothes on.

X.

If you don’t stop struggling,
they’re going to **** you.

XI.

They’re going to **** you
if you don’t stop struggling.

As all the pollywogs woggle in the ***** galore
Resplendent in all dawn, as the rising star
Of an off-world dominion. delivers sparrows to sunshine
Hoisting wisteria to the throne of the senses…
Wafting in semaphore, so periwinkle
There are no eyes that may behold
the totality of its gossamer expanse.
the sheer sprawl of a most holy congregation-
of dizzy miracles, draped in ivy and morning dew
deliciously rampant with unbridled blithering
bathing in the rays of a faceless yellow
teeming with butterflies
cocooning no more.

All this in an
open door.
Wait for the Dew, says your Later Bud-Mates
Then tap their Bells for a Ruby-Stone Drink
Though Jug's be met and Harness mug their Fates
Pour the River-Wine to Sweeten the *****...???
Is such your Desire to be Labelled that Name
And fawn Nerdy Morals for Tickets accept
Then late be to Cure this Cobblepot Game
Bake the World's Surprise for Excellence except
Yet neigh between us Two Tagged Tossers beat
Let alone your Lords pull your Strings sever
Till such Lord as your Prove master his Feat
And gag that Sentinel calling your Punter.
Though Girls would be Girls call your Flat incorrupt
Which Tag you own of True *** be enough.

Oh beloved Hyacinth, my sparkling youth so fine
More brilliant than all objects that shine
Fit for erecting a sacrificial shrine
Let my whole self be only thine

Harken all of you to Apollo’s Serenade for Hyacinth!

Oh citizens of Sparta, offer me your finest *****
In my arms his amorous body will never shrink
Never will he be placed on peril’s brink
His glorious soul under my care will never stink

Harken all of you to Apollo’s Serenade for Hyacinth!

Oh beloved Hyacinth, you will learn a lot in my guidance
For any man of the arts, this is the greatest chance
In music & sports, you’ll surely enhance
You can have the future the power to glance

Harken all of you to Apollo’s Serenade for Hyacinth!

Oh gods & goddesses, behold Hyacinth evolve better
His charming countenance will turn brighter
His adorable assemblage will go stronger
If you give him to me and no other

Harken all of you to Apollo’s Serenade for Hyacinth!

Oh beloved Hyacinth, in my lap you’ll have the greatest nourishment
I will keep you away from any predicament
My healing powers will safeguard you from ailment
Never will your body & soul be in torment

Harken all of you to Apollo’s Serenade for Hyacinth!

Oh mortals & immortals, you will never regret
Hyacinth will flourish if you make me your bet
From me so many he’ll know & get
To you I’ll unveil his being’s greatest secret!

Starkle, starkle, little *****,
Who the hell are you I think.
I'm not under what you call
The alcofluence of incohol.
I'm just a little slort of sheep,
I'm not drunk like thinkle peep.
I don't know who is me yet,
But the drunker I stand here the longer I get.
So just give me one more fink to drill my cup,
'Cause I got all day sober to Sunday up.

venus sparkles in the ink feast of heaven, a yellow albino with a crown of white nettles, seething in magnetic storms. a singular *****.
the moon glows. pouring egg whites and phantasms over the earth, perched in oblivion's diamonds like a haunted brouche. it's gorgeous.
high above, clouds clench black velvet and cold fronts. they scrunch into ice crumbs and wrinkles. white streaks skate a blade of wind shear
into a swipe of a tiger's claw. while far underneath, the sodium lights of the suburbs, brawl.

you live in a house of pure things. where the dust has settled arguments. where harm has come to none;
but all have fallen. your house is a living thing,
dying to show you the Door...

and you know this.

With eyes, so cold and dead
Lays this beauty, still in my bed
“I love you”, I said
To recipication, it never led

Eyes, evidence of betrayal and neglect
Life removed, he carried no regret
New love doomed, the stage was set
With open arms, this was met

All signs, disguised by veil
How can this, ever fail?
Without a compass, the ship set sail
The truest union, it was hailed

An infringement of self, on that day
With ego bruised, I showed her the way
Life, without her, better they say
Why, in fetal position do I still lay?

With time past, open the hart
As prepared, for new start
Prescriptions written, on cupids dart
A love planned, like a chart

I caught myself, in her stare
A ***** of passion, in her glare
Eyes so soft, I took the dare
All caution, into thin air

The metro station caged the slumbering metropolis
From this dingy mid-March town fridged in January wind
A ******* clad explorer marches in mellow strides
All the way to you
To back the lover's whisper spoken by static selfies
With fleshy whiffs, a borrowed jacket and a gawky face
Blind to but maybe fiddly pepples on the ground.

Down at a backstreet diner, its locked out doorstep,
A hygge cover made for two,
Humming low is the city's nocturnal remains' dubstep
Coming from an illuminating exit,
Luring the busy hands and buckled excitement, whereto ----

Whereto the vacant main street glides them
With the at ease traffic,
Down loops of everextending branches
I followed you
To the roundabout between
two surrounding glassware towers
Where gleaming sparks ***** on each other's windows
Divining themselves by lighting up pavements, entrance signs
and glooming heavens.

Corridors, lawned with clutters from refurbishments,
Lead to glassrooms of suspended business meetings,
And that cozy cavern,
Where you flump into a swivel chair.
Your inhibited expression unwinds
As my curious caress explores
The damp torso slumping deeper into the pliable seat.
And a devoted twitch of ecstasy, blossom unexpectedly
On your face,
Which already shied itself away from its audience,
Doubtlessly, for way too many times ----
A candid sight I could only cache from you,
Because I intend to see it again, your effortless reaction.
The sarcoma-like lump left uncut at the bottom,
Wrinkled like wind waves in a Ukiyo-e drawing.
I scoop the saline ripple, so you can taste it beforehand.
Our bodies started gravitating
onto each other or all over the place.
And lips, they startlingly perched,
out of wills, like magnets
For the very first time.

I've been feeling patient.
And I love taking my time with you

Up and down,
spin around,
flitter in the sky.
Sing a song,
dancing long,
And when night comes, you cry.
Now the stars *****'ling
and the Earth no inkling
of your once beloved song.
Sun rise again
from where 'twas lain.
Now hear joy thro' hours long.

As I gazed up at the clear night sky,
And listened to her lullaby
To calm the kid, before he'll cry.
As soft, she is, as a butterfly.

And the moon is round, and bright, and full
Which makes her look, oh more beautiful
As she paints his dreams so colourful.
Her voice echoes, so wonderful.

And the stars just stare - they do no *****'.
I know this for sure - I did not blink.
But you see, I did not ever think
That I'd get to, of this sweet water drink.

And when she looked at me, I could but smile
As we sat like that for quite a while.
She's been there for me through every trial
And can read me like I'm an open file.

As she lay her son into his bed,
She kissed him gently on his head.
"Sweet dreams, my child", is what she said,
Then she set aside the book she read.

Then she walked to me, embraced me so,
And allowed herself to against me flow
Like the soft, warm sun to melt the snow
Of my frozen heart - she did not let go.

But she held me tight, and I her, too.
"My dear, sweet husband, I love you"
Something for sure, that I definitely I knew
As she fell into me, like a drop of dew...

Wanting to be a different person is hard because I want to be a ***** with blond hair and blue eyes and to have a big strong boyfriend.
But I also want tattoos and pale skin and to shave the sides of my head and dress in button ups and ties and to have a deep voice.
Or I could be tall and thin with long hair and a skirt and a cute voice and big sweaters and a little fluff.
But I also want to be a boy with a broken heart to mend and wear makeup and to fix myself.
But
I'm none of these
I'm a person who wants more
I want to be different
But I'm just me
And I'm getting better at liking just me
Sadie Brock Mar 2013
A single *****'ling star,
is all that's left of hope.
A tenuous gold thread,
all that's left of light's rope.

And then, a voice. I heard
echoes through the night.
Oh creature of shadows,
do you bring the newest light?

An answer I expected,
but no such one received.
Instead, there was only silence.
And me, of hope bereaved.

But back it came,
it's likeness as a child.
An offered hand
and a smile pure and mild.

And as I stood, the light
wrapped round me like a vine.
Now sorrow is banished from me,
and happiness is mine.

I remember the last time we ******,
It was hateful and thick with unspoken words,
I remember meeting him and thinking nothing,
But I guess nothing became something for you.

Maybe I'm bitter but jealousy died,
**** on that ***** I hope he's a ride,
You know I don't hate you I hate that you lied,
I would have taken my leave while retaining my pride.

But you didn't respect me enough
To tell me you found a new love
It would've been **** but I'd have picked myself up
I found out by seeing you deep in him... ****.

I could've cried for a day but I didn't,
I took my stuff and waved good riddance,
I could've disappeared for a year and hidden,
I wouldn't give in to weakness... that is forbidden.

I've seen you together in town,
You're a team and i cannot frown,
Swam from my feeling 'cause I cannot drown,
I'll find my one or I will be found.

Don’t pull on your sleeves
Don’t let them see you swallow
There’s someone looking at you
Do you make a sound when you move?
Something to make someone notice,
All the little things you do?

Should I eat?
No. That makes a noise,
Noise could disturb the others
But they’re talking loudly,
And they probably wouldn’t hear you,
But don’t, just in case they do.

Don’t be a bother.
Should I even be sitting here?
I’m taking up space,
Someone else’s much needed,
Required to work, place.

Put on your vest,
Put back on your mask?
No. That would look weird,
But then at least they wouldn’t be able to see my face
And I could move it around without them looking,
But if I cover my face, they’ll look and stare and think
Who’s the *****, covering her face?
Is she ill?

Get up, you’ve seen this before,
Not even three weeks before,
Ignore them, they won’t remember
They’ll talk and laugh and talk
And you’ll be made a fool.
You’ll show vulnerability.
Go, go now, when it’s still okay.
Would they think now,
That I can’t handle the content?

They stared as I walked in,
Did I hear them whisper as I rose?
****, the teacher’s still standing in the hallway
This film-inspired shirt was a mistake.
Does he know who I am now?

This class is filled with all the *******
I don’t like, or know.
I need air. I can’t focus.
Go now, so you’ll be home early,
But that will **** them off,
If you suddenly appear.

Don’t cry.
Don’t pant, it looks ridiculous.
You’re so ******* unfit,
You’ve only gone down two
Flights of stairs,
You’re pathetic.

Don’t think about the fact
That you just spent two hellish hours
Waiting for this class,
And are now leaving.
Don’t think, just walk.
Just walk.

You’ve made yourself
Quite the target,
Wearing that bright red vest,
Their eyes will follow you
Surely, as you  walk down the street
Take it off, and hide it in your bag
Hide your shirt with your jacket,
You’re not standing out.
Why are my shoes so loud?

Don’t look straight ahead,
Do something with your hands
Don’t just let them hang by your sides
That looks stupid
Don’t fidget.
Don’t meet eyes.
Almost there,
Music on, volume way up,
Drown out the thoughts,
You’re a desert baby,
And your mind’s overcome by the drought
In the silence my mind’s empty.
I wrote this when I was close to having an anxiety attack. I thought it'd allow people to see what social anxiety is like.

Cling, cling, cling.
Flop, flop, flop.
Ding, ding, ding.
Drop, drop, drop.
The screen blinks,
My brain drivels.
The colours *****,
My cells shrivel.
Cling, cling, cling.
Drop, drop, drop.
Why can't I stop, stop, stop.
Though through my life success I seethe

I often wonder...

Does man inspire? Or do they breathe

of breaths asunder?

The tests of mortal fears are fierce...

Let us then be kind,

and hasten not to knife and pierce

the soft heart or mind.

For deep behind my *****'ling eye:

The dark demons sing...

A song you never hear me cry

of The Lingering...

I speak not of a course of powers

meaningless in will.

I speak in bold, of forceful powers:

Powers that can ****.

Look around at our existence.

Many feel the sting

on mind and heart, through long persistence

of The Lingering...

The agony of gloom and woe

suffered in the dark-

and trepidation's overflow

leaves a grisly mark...

So, take a great and noble caring

to entreat the mind,

taking courage, always daring

to be warm and kind.

To have compassion in the strife:

What aid that can bring-

to one of us who go through life

in The Lingering!

Momentarily we all are
As none is upon the
Spheric frozen cogs of time;
Now trow thou understanding
And ***** infinite conception,
Wishing, supernal creature-
Thrice fallen, expunging
Salvations scars deeper
Than the eternal hurt
Redeeming Gods altar;
The eventual solatium
Of oscillate lucifuguos death
Declaring defeat bearing the
Cross of extension for life's
End will never reveal
Peace to lost souls.

A Little Child Lacing Her Shoes

                                  For Sarah, of course

She is as proud, as she can be, and I -
I too am proud, watching her twist her tongue
In thought – the rabbit pops into its hole
To emerge on the other side – hello!

She is as proud as she can be, but I
Am a little bit sad as she stands up now
Dancing in place to make the heel-lights *****
Then giggling, “Catch me, Daddy!” as she runs away

And I play-chase, knowing that all too soon
There won’t be little lights for me to follow
A poem is itself.

is thought awake

or just a picture to a wakeful state

failing us
into the risk of knowing

the take of leave

a leaf that wanes
on the wither of a stowing breeze

carried to her seed
on the heel of a fickles mind
by the seek of his grounded harrow

a meadows hang
on the tenants tell tales wonder

advent on the shimmy
of her seasons *****

a braze on the heat
of a weathers mulling think

He seems to see dreams as delusions
Not day dreamy allusions.
He has, I believe, always had a dream
Of being a major league baseball player.
He also, near as i can tell, has a dream
Of seeing a time to come, when all
People will be ethical, patriotic and
With little or no medical problems.
He's a good person, often trying to be,
A loyal Vietnam vet and friend, who
Wrestles with unpleasant PTSD
Problems so you can see why
He'd have the second dream.
His dreams and schemes
Make me think
I"m a stinky *****
Lacking to be a schlink,
Since I don't have a dream
Like him of seeing
Everyone with a DVD player for example,
Watching 'good' Movies, at least
Like he shows us here
In other words, it seems he has a dream like that
Because of his enjoyed
Hobby of watching DVDs He's
Selected with us.
