Three ****** and it starts
An x-ray tells the story
The door to the tunnel has opened
I hope that this road has two paths
And not one.
Get a mammogram, ladies.

our lips will never meet
nor our fingers intertwine
and so bless my dreams
for indulging what's not mine

the pottery is unspinning
the sweater's unknitting
the candle is melting
and the tea's gone missing
pondering the theft in awe at this mess
and what's left:
clay, fabric, wax, and leaves
i guess
it's god's way
to say
be grateful for your things
when the world goes backwards
it's the leaving that stings
i have a little dog means the world to me
and at christmas time he fills my heart with glee
loves watch the lights on the christmas tree
sitting there for hours as a happy as can be

i buy a little present put on a label to
a  christmas doggy bone he  just loves to chew
and a little ball so he can have a play
laid beneath the tree to open christmas day

he his my best friend and i love him so
when christmas come around gives my heart a glow
with his little smile that he gives to me
best friend in the world there could ever be

She said “you’re smoking”
I said “you are, too”
She asked me to put it out-
something I could never do

She said “it is snowing”
I said “it is glowing- I am afraid”
She told me to make an angel
before it’s too late

can i tell you a secret?
some days, when the sky is its darkest hue
and the clouds are a light gray-blue
i write poetry.
it's all about you.
