Sometimes, I wish that I were different
I am not talking about weight, height, or physically
I wish I were the old me
The nice me
The one who didn't expect ulterior motives
Expect to be hurt
The one who was afraid to say no
Or come off as mean
Sometimes, I think I'm still in there
Deep down
Underneath the fake cloak of harshness wrapped around me
Used as a shield
Protecting me from the world
Still protecting the old me

I wish this world we both stand on wasn't yours, but only mine
you took so much from me but we still have to share the things I love the most
The moon in the sky I ponder at is also yours to look at when you please
The air that fills my lungs and allows me to breathe is also yours to inhale
The same water that flows from my faucets is connected to yours allowing you to drink
The earth i stand on is also yours to walk
The sun that basks me in its light and warmth is also yours to enjoy and savor
so far away...but never far enough

liquid courage
Burning throats
The smokey taste of cigarettes on our tounges
This summer fling has obviously flung
Drunk and filled with love
Your heart fits mine like a glove
But with your hangover tomorrow
You will start to weep with sorrow
I was a drunk mistake
And my stone cold heart that was warmed starts to break

Crisp leaves under me
The smell of pumpkin candles
Autumn is now here
