In the responsibility granted man
as fickle as he is foul
wheeling and dealing with mother earth
he'll take all that he's allowed

****** the land of every grain of sand
and nutrition to serve his purpose
she stands in hope that one day he may know
that none of it was worth it

But when you are the disease
who can you turn to for the cure
remember please wise words such as these
nature never did betray the heart that loved her
A quote from William Woodsworth I added to.
The last and most beautiful line is his.

In winters,
Sunbathing is divine,

Divine Face

I love your divine face,
And also your sweet smile.

I will take you to a divine place,
And let us walk for an infinite mile.

Don't mean to startle
Or sound the alarm
But the way the world is these days
I think there's something wrong

We're fighting over here
They're fighting over there
In fact the more I look at it
There's fighting everywhere

While people beg for love
While people pray for peace
Until we learn to get along
We'll have none of these

When we continually set the blame
On the other side
With ignorance we dig our graves
In this losing game of do or die

It's coming to a head
This clashing of the wills
I'm afraid that our mistakes
Will be the cup of justice spilled

I don't mean to startle all of you
Or sound the alarm on what we do
But if you take a minute or two
I think you'll see it too

There is definitely something wrong...

I met Lord Byron in the pathless wood
along the lonely shore
pleasure in the rapture
a place I'd never been before
set me free beside the deep blue sea
with music in its roar
holding hands with this gentle man
as nature plays the score
making me love it even more
Another quote from my friends site I put to poetry which
was a challenge as the quote this time was a beautiful poem.

"There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in it's roar; I love not man the less, but nature more. ~ Lord Byron

Kelly Rose
Raised with violence and harsh spoken words
She embraced fairytales, roses, and romance
Always seeking the different and absurd
It’s better than performing a cruel dance

Fantasy led her down the path of pain
Where self-hate and ignorance reigned supreme
Unable to cope, she felt quite insane
But that’s what comes from living in a dream

Tired of the dark, she sought a new path
Self-reflection led her to face her fears
And slowly her inner pain and deep wrath
Left, leaving room for hope’s light to appear

Still, she embraces roses and romance
It’s better than performing a cruel dance
