I yearn for the days
when I could pull poetry
from my brain
like a string of pearls,
shimmering opal,
so beautiful to all.

Where    have    my    pearls    gone?

Have you ever been where raindrops fall
in shades of purple gold and blue,
where in the clouds such beauty sings
of breezy days in June

Have you ever been so light and free
of human bonds and plight,
to laugh aloud with a pleasantry,
that blooms within you bright!

Have you ever been alone at dusk,
to see the lonely moon,
and wonder where it finds such light,
to brighten up your view.

Have you ever been where raindrops fall,
in shades of purple gold and blue,
and if you have did they rain,
their beauty down on you?

In every line, in every stroke
I traced the breeze, the feel, the folk
Here in my blood, in my skin, in my coat
Remembering Maria, a sketch, a note
A poem for a commissioned piece about Maria Makiling

if the snow was black it wouldnt be as bright
we would never see it when came to night
christmas would be different it wouldnt have its glow
it woudnt be the same the snow it wouldnt show.

it wouldnt be the same as it used to be
whenever it got dark the snow we wouldnt see
children would need lights when playing on there sleigh
very big and bright to help them find there way.

it wouldnt be the same as used to be
all the snow at christmas we would never see

how do I tell my mother that I am a lot happier than I used to be
The tall man that comes to see me weekly
His long fingers , moving around the guitar strings
He tells me that I’m too pretty and I always wonder if he has told this to other women
He calls me daily
He says I’m his priority
I was afraid at first as I was trying to establish bigger boundaries
The boundaries are still there
But I’ve never been happier
I can listen to his voice and his guitar all day as long as I don’t push myself further
For the very first time I don’t feel the pain that I used to feel from any men

And I really think that’s what matters the most in this different city

Sky
Trees swaying side to side,
Blue's all I see.
If only it could stay,
Blue for eternity.
!We should stop polluting!
Anyway, I love looking at the sky and just laying down looking up. Stargazing is nice too :)
