"caroled" poems
Alas, I am only moments away Be quick and painless should you be     Coward I may be but sweet Departure will set me free Evergreen my soul shall remain Forgotten my name so let it befall Go my shadows and run free Hurt I shall no longer feel Iapetus bids me farewell Janus takes my hand Keres caroled hymns of a psyche finally joining the band Loving the way that fate has been cruel My steps begin to falter as Nostalgia suddenly embraces me Once more I am at the cross roads Played by to suffer forever I will be Quest of mine, I failed you Reaching for eternal bliss Seduced to cut loose To be far away from my own inferno Understood my reasons will never be Vain your pleas will become Walls of Jericho crumbled down as did my spirit Xenophobic our world has turned out Young and carefree cease to exist Zealotry towards living shall soon come to pass

ABCD Escape
( Sonnet ) I once caught you naked by the sea, No one noticed, such noble shyness, Invited to worlds, aloof as sun breeze, Of purple sands, heathered highness. In novae of your eyes was shipwreck, Forlorn beacon chiding the weary lost Of new worlds lumbered on the decks, Seabirds caroled up wing, heavens' loft. Skin, fleshy of netted eel, salt and foam, Was hide for a brigand, lubbers sessions, Sheered by sheen, blinding sky of gloam, Stars runged on their draped processions. My seal, now fate, cloak within jubilance; Coral sea wave, slips under moon dance.

I Once Caught You Naked
( Sonnet ) I once caught you naked by the sea, No one noticed, such noble shyness, Invited to lands, aloof as sun breeze, Of purple sands, heathered highness. Corals, sea wave, slips under moon dance; My seal, now fated, cloak within jubilance.

I Once Caught You Naked
Her face never shined like twinkle in the sky. I think she became like this when daddy saw St. Peter at the Pearly Gates. She never understood why he moved, I love you always he caroled. Her laughter used to boom throughout the halls. Her joy spread like the plague. Her smile shined like stars. Now momma is a single-ply tissue. Dew stains her cheeks. Laughter is a distant memory. White Christmas angel, Love filled, nothing but memories. Evil world, corrupt, Now blinds the core of her existence.

My Mother
Bending forward against the winter chill I clutch my jacket collar tight. against the moan and whistle of the wind. A speaker clamped on a holiday post crackles a hymn to a midnight clear releasing from the vault of time memories of another winter's day when a happy boy on a Christmas bike caroled that same Yuletide song to a swirling snowflake congregation tuned to distant steeple bells. A phantom in a store front window startles me back to now and arrests my curiosity. Just who is that gray haired fossil clutching his collar like a shield against the whistling wind and why is he staring at me this blustery mid-winter day?
