Crown of fools
Artur Oct 30
I walk upon the pathless plains,
A stranger to this ancient field.
I see others walking with canes
And I desperately refuse to yield.
I see roses bloom and their
Lovely thorns speak of doom.
Further on I see roses undressed-
Their petals dead,
Carried on by the wind.
I see babes grown and wed,
Snatched from their mother’s loving breast.
And I carry on with my stroll,
Lest I be carried away with the petals,
By the blowing winds.
Then I hear my father’s laugh,
No longer full of heart,
But full of dust,
And a longing makes its nest
Within my ageing soul.
I see a pond ahead
And its waters reflect a face
My mother has not kissed in years.
It all wells up within me;
The fears of childhood past conjure up,
And the knight with the burning sword,
Does not ride out to save me.
A stranger born
Into this strange garden.
I adorn the crown of fools;
Everything I have wished for has come to pass,
And that is my greatest curse.
Can’t I have one more dance?
One ephemeral moment
With the fleeing wilderness
Of youth?

Lady of the Lake
Artur Oct 29
Lithe lady of the lake, follow me
Right down here,
Down azure paths lit
By the dripping moon.
The summer has not passed;
We are in the dawn,
Do not let it sail away
Like the receding tide
Of yesterday.
We are all born into the ephemeral breath;
Some choose to ignore it,
Others ride it.

Portrait
Artur Oct 11
My portrait is hidden in my basement;
The azure paint,
Like skies of June,
Is flaking like the waning moon,
Revealing a monotone landscape.
The hyacinth smell,
Is usurped
By dry, withered grass.
The serpent,
Dream-like,
Slithers
Through the underbrush,
Of the tree
From which I hung
My soul.
Let me back into
Paradise lost;
A blind man searching
In a room full of girls
For his lover.
I’m searching for what
Was lost,
For the haven
We abandoned,
While the serpent
Slithers ever closer
To my
Swaying soul.

Right back where I came
Artur Oct 11
I wish I could go back
From where I came,
To taste for the first time,
To see once more,
From a ******’s eyes.
The plague is finished
With me,
And tonight
I must sign off,
And walk into
The cool
Forest.

Ephemeral breath
Artur Oct 1
I see a disturbed landscape,
With undulating mountains and hills.
I see shepherds tending
To their flock
And birds flying in discord.
The hallways are packed
With ancient bodies
Who have forgotten;
Minds filled with loss.
All around,
Flowing and moulding,
Is the ephemeral breath
Of a creature eager to please.
He’s waiting for you;
Take his hand
And walk down these corridors,
Opening all the doors.
It’s time to leave our bony clothes,
And enter the forest.

Iridescent ship
Artur Sep 26
Where is this ship taking us?
Winds blowing,
Currents flowing;
All of us are yearning
For a soft embrace
Or an escape from this place.

An escape towards Eden.

Pirouetting on the storm
Artur Sep 26
Only constant is death;
Life is excitement and upheaval.
Why do men strive towards
Unmoving statues?
Towards paradise
With its ever-blooming
Orchards?
*** is warm,
But doesn’t remain warm
Perpetually.
The serpent,
Moulding,
Inconstant,
Is preferred over the
Constantly blooming flowers.
Sunlight, moonlight;
Fiery apparitions
Dancing in the desert.
Here she comes,
Riding on her
Amorphous, lustful cloud.

Illuminating Eden
Artur Sep 25
Let me illuminate the stage.

Take my hand and let us walk back through the wilted willows.
The soft complacency of silk pillows is now covered in mold.
They have usurped our pristine kingdom;
O, Untainted kingdom.

Our god has become a mortal,
And ravens meander across his soul.
We are lost in the wilderness of pure madness;
Where are the hitherto skies of reason?

The apples are corrupted by smug, fat worms,
And Jackals feast on our smooth ankles.
Buzzards encircle babes at birth and
Alas feast on them whenever they please.

Wine flows like a murderous viper
Across a desolate, crumbling Arden.
Illiterate men feign literacy in the back of bars
And meagre glimpses of sunlight flash across charred skies.

I miss that breeze, that warm breeze;
Where is my Eden?

Sailing to the moon
Artur Sep 25
Let’s go to the moon
Sail upon these ancient currents
We can try, baby;
See by the moonlight.
The sunlight is imposing
Tyrannical
Almost burning

These mannacles are rusted,
Do you see?
We just ought to try
And break on free
Into the cool night

See?
Do you see, baby?
I really ought to, uh,
**** you
No, I mean feel you

This ship is safe
It only crashed last time
And before that too
But we’ll be all right, baby
You just wait and see

Yeah, all the way to the white goddess
No, I’m no captain
Only a sailor
Sailing to the moon.

Midnight Love
Artur Sep 25
Reach out towards the moon,
Towards the future that is coming soon.
Baby, we can bathe
In this silvery stream
And dance wildly
In our love's fragrant dream.
Come on join me,
Come on join me, babe.

See to the other side of certainty,
Walk down these corridors
With me.
Open these doors and rejoice!
Yeah, ride it, baby!

I want to show you this serpent
Of the eclipsed land,
Then we can penetrate past this pretense
And awake the sleeping city,
Can you dig me?

Come closer,
Can't you see I'm burning,
Moulding,
Flowing?
Let's ride this wave of prophecy
Into the promised land of desire.

let us undress and sail
Naked towards untouched
Eternity.

Wild Child
Artur Sep 25
Show me good,
Show me evil,
And then the wild child,
Traversing beyond,
On those pathless plains.
Oh it's the death of me,
Can't you see?
The little one
Has run on free.
Artur Sep 25
There is no bank in this river;
Waters stretch out.
Tumultuous tides masqueraded by mellow lies.
They have painted over the exotic colours
With monochromatic hues.
The feast has become a rudimentary meal.
The skies have been mapped out
With cruel logic and rules.
Borders have been placed;
There is no more wandering.
The mystique has become a beggar
Living and a-stumblin’ for the Dollar.

Art of wandering
Artur Sep 25
I want to wander
Out into the cool
Desert by night.
Camels feasting on
Sweet water from lagoons.
Apparitions clothes in sand dunes,
Set on blazing fire
By the white goddess.
Children at play
Under the skies of pure May.
Impossible castles constructed
By an infant’s feeble hand.
Rain water
Brought by the tyrannical sun
Washes castles away to sea,
Towards Apollo’s pristine basin.
I want to wander
Back out there,
Wander back out there
Where there is no veil,
No table-cloth
To hide the mess.
I want to meet the lost boy;
I want to meet my boy.
I want to gaze upon multitudes
And vistas of Dionysian proportion.
And swim with beings out of time.
Where I can throw away all my dimes.
A fire is burning inside the Indian’s tent.
A green plague has come from the sea;
Our god is a mortal,
Who can we beseech for help?
I miss my boy.
I see crows feasting
And ravens weeping.
I must go now.

Lunar Enlightment
Artur Sep 25
Revelry, revelation;
Out in the cool forest,
Indulging thoughtlessly
Like a hitchhiker
Seated in the passenger seat,
Submitting control and thought
To the veiled driver

Milky moon pours down
Turning golden spoons
Into silvery crucifixes of revelation.
Resurrect magic,
Embracing it as it glimpses
Out of its dusty tomb
Like a shy ******
On her wedding night.
