thin
flame
burns

In shaky hands she walks on
Shadows flickering on the walls
Dark figures
stretch down
tunnel halls
Monsters
come alive
in the depths of
estranged minds
And deep down
   in her very soul
There is a wild fire, burning strong
Engulfing the curtains of darkness
Where her fears hide behind.

My fingers crawl to
the loneliest place when I
want and miss you most.

I can normally sit
and bleed words for hours
but lately when I cut
I can’t draw blood.
I guess they call this
writers block.

Sometimes dreams come true in magical ways.
Breezes turning into carousels.
birds sing with animal chorus
Or people growing wings to fly through rainbow skies.
But always just a nights sleep away.

I love it when she’s blue,
I love it when she’s gold,
I love it when she’s silver,
I love it when she’s cold,
I love it when she’s quiet,
I love it when she’s bold,
I love it when she’s calm,
I love it when she folds
I love her for her secrets,
I love her for her songs,
I love her for her rights,
I love her for her wrongs,
I love it when she moves me,
When she pulls me,
When she soothes me,
I love it when she’s red,
I love it when she’s gray,
I love it when she’s mine,
I love it when she strays,
I love her for her warmth,
I love her for her stare,
I love her for her depths,
I love her for her care.

I just sit and gaze,
And watch my walls burn in a blaze,
As I become captive to her eyes,
I see my darkest dreams

But I take a glance
In thought that I have a fleeting chance
Of escaping from her,
Not yet, it seems.

I fall to my knees
And I utter my pleas,
But she just smiles,
In the darkness, her smile gleams.

My demons scream and yell,
But it's no use,
Coz I’m under her spell.
