Of course I walk
can't you see
I have no car or bike
take a train? where's the money?

home, what a sweet word
o my rich friend, tell me where
give me supper, provide a bed
I'll happily follow you there!
Instead of arguing about the “L” word,
We argue about why the refrigerator door was left open,
Why our clothes smell like cigarette smoke,
Instead of arguing about the fact that we barely see each other
We argue about social media posts,
Then we clash and hurtful words are said.
While tears run down our faces, one of us always walks away.

So then one of us apologize.
With a motion of a hand, we call each other over and offer a small smile.
Our lips read “I love you” as we pull each other closer,
Your wrap your fingers around mine and respond with a kiss.

The usual “I would do anything for you” is spoken out loud, and as people stare at us making faces, we don't care.

We kiss again and all is forgiven.
Way slide on grassy hill
My mother bride laid down
The air warm with tenderness
My father neatly gowned.

Oh love of sweet moments
Come gather in the hours
Wrap them in secret’s scent
Hidden from the showers.

Love Mary x
For my mum and dad , loved always
I cannot describe just how It feels
Heading outward on my wheels
Delìvering parcels everywhere
Traveling along without a care.

I start my day up on the wood
That's were I live it feels so good
Before I turn on the ignition key
First things first its a cup of tea.

Then I am off to my very first stop
A road in shard end a floristry shop
Then I drive to another place
A corner house on a council estate.

Then I move on to Bordesley green
Memory lane if you know what I mean
What I see is the life I once knew
The friends I had yes I had a few.

Time it comes for a morning snack
A cholesterol unfriendly bacon bap
I swill it down with a mug of tea
And back on the road and feeling free.

I love my job driving this van
Done it for years I'm a delivery man
I move along to any piont anywhere
Just give me a call and I'll be there.

I travel east and travel  west
I'm your delivery man doing my best
Driving vans is all that I've known
And Birmingham city is my Home.

So when I finish and my day is done
Back to the wood I've completed my run
The van is safely tooked away
I'll be back again same time next day.
I was talking to a driver he told me how much he enjoyed driving
He lived in  four parts of Birmingham during his life time
And every day he passed were he used to live.So to him they were his memories.
I cry a little harder now
The tulip season ends in rain
As silent petals fall at dawn
With tears reflected in the sky
Oh summer please don’t come too soon.

Love Mary x
Love, let me be your warm woollen blanket,
Waiting patiently on your bed,
For night to unfold,
And so would you me.
Ready for bed,you would reach out for me,
Touch me,
Lift me,
Hug me,
With ease wrap me around your self,
Snuggle underneath me,
Clutch me tight,
In case I don't slid away.
It would be you and I,
Your soft breaths and my warmth,
Will lullaby us to sleep every night.
noone can hide in the spotlight
but the man with the torch
shapes the shadows
