I am unsure what is worse;
seeing you in my dreams,
or not at all.
Each way provides
hurt and sadness,
and the realization that you’re gone and never coming back.

Sometimes I wonder if
I’m the only one who sees my gift
as a curse,
and my curse as a gift.

We laughed in the car
Together
I don’t know why
But it felt good
Like the sun piercing through the rain clouds

Some moments are beautifully mysterious,
Shared by two only even when thousands surround

Listening to the voice that is a part of me and the words written on my soul

Thinking about growing older and our lifelong connection - tender, sad, sweet, beautiful, fragile, permanent

Do not hide little one.
The brief chill is only winter exhaling its last breath
Arise, unfold your leaves and open your bud.
Let the mellow glow of the new day dry the dew.
Let all creatures that would, take of your nectar
You sit on God’s palette from which he dips his brush and on an emerald canvas,
Paints red and golds and colors of such extraordinary beauty,
The artist’s hand is staid.
The poet is speechless.
You join in bringing a grace to the world which my words cannot adequately describe little one.
I am thankful and humbled.

Why are you lonesome?
You seek, you welcome, you wait.
Many come and go.

Still you are lonely.
One wishes in. Your door is closed.
Open wide your heart.

You called me soulmate.
Love me for time without end
But first be a friend?

Loving words pretend
The truth we find in the end
In deeds of a friend

They have reached the wrinkled days
Happy and content
Side by side

He kisses her on the cheek
She smiles with a smile that is both fresh and well worn

They are mature but beautifully so

While their hearts are young and getting younger

They know the good and the not so good
they focus on the former and find peace

They have reached the wrinkled days
Happy and content
Side by side
Love, old age, peace
