bones
Easy flow the waters
of the river passing by,

though we straighten them with walls
and narrow them in time,

and lace them up with bridges
to bind them where they lay,

still the waters, like a lifetime,
slip their bonds and pass away..
In the darkest hours of the night
I sit at my piano.
sleep is now for another time.
Inside of me
I am lonely in a way
that no closeness can mend.

I play chopin's nocturne.
Just like I used to play it for you.
before I lost you.
Touching the keys as softly
as you once touched my skin.

Through the open window
My nocturne joins the echoes
of the woodlands.
The milk toast pools of moonlight
gather silvered  in our pathway.

The melody is gentle and  sweet now
And pouring melancholy
Into my veins.

All I can feel is you.
I know that in that illuminated
World that knows no pain or sadness
You have your hand pressed against
A distant window,
And my music is playing in your heart

unloved
She was looking at the sky in a hope that at least one raindrop will fall on her dry skin. Because even that meaningless raindrop would mean something to her. She would give everything for that one moment

moment of feeling.
The old blanket is so hard to discard

dramas have unfolded in its folds
upheavals of winter's orogeny
trills of two birds in ecstatic thrill
to the rest in the ripened knowledge

we have made a home
we have earned it.

In the still of night
under the old blanket
the tales are relived
without a touch
a word..

The old blanket is so hard to discard.
The world spinning
Everyone moving
Noise distracting
Thoughts grooving
Always something to do
Something needs improving
Overwhelm
All coming at a rush
Our senses long for a little
shush

Take your mind to natures hill tops
Encompass an airy flush
Eyes turn
in
Submerge
below
the
skin
Find the _ space
within
Be as it
Drifting .....

And for you, my heart swells like a new moon,
It beats like the sun at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
And my blood rushes, gushes, like a warm winter shower;
My eyes gleaming, like a dewy spring flower
Feeling a little lovesick

Curled up together
On your couch,
Our hands intertwined,
Our backs
Against the hollow hum
Of Halloween's breeze
Lingering through
Dancing drapes
With dizzy dips
Before the cracked-window audience,

And the sun playfully peaked
Over the graceful dying trees
That lined suburban streets,
Looming over pumpkin
Patterned leaves, basked in
The approaching gloom of
Dusk,

And while the night
Tied that present to this memory,
I remember the scruff of your
Auburn hair against my nose,
The bewitching draw of
Some vague fragrance
My addict lungs yearn to
Breath once more,

And now,
With each passing October,
Autumn leaves never seem more alluring.
