rainstorms fiercely bulge the waves
toss honeysuckle and bougainvilleas
blow their blossoms high
towards the rainbow
that in sunny moments
sparkles over volcanic hills

Someone

I don't need someone
to complete me,
I just need someone
with whom I can share
the love God has given me.
What about you, why do you need someone?
the time we spend in doing things
we think are necessary
with hindsight may appear like idle play
wasting a precious part of the allotment
we have been given on this earth

the problem is we do not know

and so we take the risk and muddle on
trying to do our best
hoping it will not be our worst

Midnight
The funny thing is...
I laugh in the shadows
And scheme in the light*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I lurk in the depths
And cry when I stumble.
I walk through the fields
And scream when I'm fine.
I tantalize the men
And shrink when they pounce.
I flirt with the ladies
But disappear when they come.
I beg lovers to change
But complain when they try.
I seek out the demons
And lead the angels astray.
I can't seem to decide
To choose the good over bad.
But I sure can complain
And I sure cannot change.
It's getting annoying
My heart pays the price.
But I'm still dancing with devils
And there's no end in sight.
Whatever is wrong with me.
I can't fix your hope
if its shattared or broke
Can't change where you've been,
where you're at
or where your going.
If you decide to be taken
by ocean or pavement
needles in the basement
or another definitive arrangement
I can't stop you,
though I hope you'll pull through
perceive a different view
find a strength within you.
Life's got more to give
but you've gotta
build your own  bridges
to reach where it is.
I can't do this for you,
but I'll be here if you need me too
even if it's just to shoot the breeze or to lean on
An urn
slung on shoulder
braced in place
by smooth cream
slender
arm
and crease of curl covered neck.
Another urn
held on tip of hip
as if a mother yearns a child's weight
Toga frozen in flow,
fanning its tail by ankle
above sandalled foot and petite toe.
smirk outdating mona's,
below cute nose
framed by soft marble cheeks
wishing hints of rose
Grecian girl looks vacantly down
oval eyes void of iris and pupil.
Thoughts unknown.
