I’m a balloon with too much air
Someone didn’t know when to quit
The huffing and puffing wouldn’t stop
And I’m stretched past the breaking point
My wit’s been dulled so I don’t fear
That I’ll pop myself with a sharp retort
I’m staying on the cobbled path
Avoiding the roses in the garden
And the cactus in the field next door.
If I had a clue where I was bound
I’d have a chance to make it there
But one sharp look will do me in

And the blast will level Burbank.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all that happened both bad and good lately.

I feel like river water.
And I don’t belong to stagnancy,
yet I’m caught in a lake.

•••

I’m destined
to move silt and sediment.
And overturn
submerged pebbles
so they won’t see
the green of moss.

I’m meant to surge
and eat into banks
so I could be split -
to make more of me...

My reach would extend
far and wide -
like scraggly fingers
grabbing at the
face of the earth.

My energy channelling
through careless forks
and into slimmer branches.

•••

My soul is river water....
And my heart renounces
the throne to idleness.

Yet I am,
but a lake.

Come as the silence of night,
to soothe waylaid hearts.

Let them hear...
The rhythm of
their own pounding.

Cradle them...
And carry them
through every deep breath...
And every heavy sigh.

Assure them that the lull
between such forlorn beats
will never be prolonged
as long as there is a want,
and need
to hear and feel the next.
"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)"
it may not always be so; and i say
that if your lips, which i have loved, should touch
another’s,and your dear strong fingers clutch
his heart,as mine in time not far away;
if on another’s face your sweet hair lay
in such silence as i know,or such
great writhing words as,uttering overmuch,
stand helplessly before the spirit at bay;

if this should be,i say if this should be—
you of my heart,send me a little word;
that i may go unto him,and take his hands,
saying,Accept all happiness from me.
Then shall i turn my face, and hear one bird
sing terribly afar in the lost lands
All these years have passed and still nothing has changed,
So we have to march,
Against the abomination of colour segregation,
I'm just tired of all the lies I want to know what's real,
If I stand by your side will you show me the deal?
I’ve got the moon and the stars beneath my feet,
Will that be enough to free my speech?
Tried to climb peaks that were placed deliberately out of our reach,
They envy my life but I envy theirs,
Heaven looks great until you have to climb the stairs,
I capture my emotions in a liquor potion,
It's all good swimming with your tears in the ocean,
And if I can sleep tonight,
I'll let them know I wasn't afraid of the light,
Can you feel the fluttering inside?
Just come lay with me on my side,
And let's both watch the butterflies fly out of our eyes.
To start the Day...
A wake up call by the Mindclock
Before the  Alarm Clock.

Your children's embrace .

A little chat with your friend
While on a morning walk.

Watching flowers in bloom.
Chirping of birds ..

All this on a busy Day
Makes One's Day

*"Happiness is Derived ...
In the time spent doing what we Like "
" Happiness is derived in the time spent doing what we like ",
this suggestion came from my Older son , Amitabh , while he played cricket this morning.

So, included it :)
For today's prompt Unnoticed.
