what am I good for
if I'm lost — adrift like a
cloud that holds no rain
2025/095
trading this for that
a skill a stone

beads for fish
a song for dance

fire for ice
silence for words.
down to down
flow like water
frugal gesture.
I couldn't walk
Another step today
So I wrote this
Line by line
It gave me the strength
That I once lacked
It made me feel like
I had a voice

This mind
This body
This soul
And ah...
I forget that there's a heart
The harder it becomes to let go
Shake and shiver
Every time you think of her
It is a cure

You know she's carved a part of you
In her heart too
But she'll kiss it away
On a lonesome rainy dawn
Sun and heat beyond
simile
and metaphor

open bar

and the Groom and Mom's dance
caused tears to mix with
flowing Spirits

soon

night will fall
and with just two steps to August
Cicadas

will be here
An abstract word painting.
I lay here
Staring at the stars
As I wave goodbye

Since you left me here
Wondering why

Somewhere in your soul
I saw where the ocean
Reflects the sky

As well as the beauty
Of the earth
In your eyes

But I don’t
Have to lay here
Wondering why

I can just enjoy
The comets
Passing by

I’d like to believe
I’ve seen the world
At its best

In the flickers
Of love
Despite
The distress
Found this in a collection of notes.
