Turn up, participate, connect
That's the key to being me
Turn up and show people that im there and I truly care
Show them that i see and surely they will see all of me
Participate fully in everything i do, don't gives less just give my best
Taking part is the start and the key to being all that is me
Connect with friends and family, even those that drive you round the bend.
Listen to what they have to say and you will have a truly spectacular day
For when you show yourself at your best, when it's easy and not a test
People will truly see the person that you are and that should be more than enough for you and them and indeed me.
Someone I know once said, you don't need to be more than you are, just be all that you are and that's more than enough.

The ultimate day when families and friends come from far and wide
To stand by your side and rejoice when they hear you say the words “I DO”

Two simple words but what do they mean?

I DO – love you with all my heart until the day that we depart.
I DO – want you to love me too, forever and ever you say “I DO”.
I DO – want to take you in my arms and walk with you by my side, come along with me sweetheart we’ll travel far and wide and together, we’ll enjoy the ride.
I DO – want to grow our family, increase our Kin, brothers and sisters sticking together through thick and thin.
I DO - want to support you in all that you do, travel the world and see things new
I DO - want to be by your side to wipe your tears when you are down, to catch you should you fall
I DO - want to adore your body and you can ravish mine, always  keeping our bodies deliciously entwined

But most of all Sweetheart I Just want you and if you want me too, then i will be the happiest person on this earth to utter those two small words "I DO"
Our Anniversary is coming up 27th this month and our Son is getting married 31st March, it just got me thinking.

Oh no I hear you cry
Is it contagious just walk on by
I can't imagine how it must be
To have to eat my food Gluten Free

It must be horrid, it can't taste nice
Do you live by just eating rice
I think i'll give it a miss if you don't mind
I like my bread as you see not made with Xantham as its Gluten Free

So keep your GF and I'll raise you some wheat
Here have some wholemeal bread it's my treat
How about some pasta with sauce let's put you to the test, I'll just add some spice or lemon zest
I bet its not real, she won't be able to tell
It surely won't harm her if I make hers the same as mine

Oh dear why are you in such pain, I felt sure you wouldn't notice when I put you to the test
I'm very sorry my lovely I'm sure it will soon pass by
Next time we'll eat GF when you next come by

In the meantime let's raise a glass of cheer I bought your favourite glass of beer
This is my dearest friend and neighbour she means we'll but can't understand the meaning/ idea of eating GF. I've recently developed an intolerance and eating GF really does help for me it's now a lifestyle, she'll get used to it eventually

Busy, busy, busy
Chatter, chatter, chatter
People catching up to date
They were out at the weekend on a date
It was so much fun, everyone rushing to relate

Busy, busy, busy
Chatter, chatter, chatter
It's Nobodys  favourite day
Is it because it's the furthest from the weekend
Or because it's the nearest to the weekend

Busy, busy, busy
Chatter, chatter, chatter
Work to live, Live to work
I know which I prefer
I'd prefer if Mondays were replaced with another day
That way I could stay home and play

Busy, busy, busy
Chatter, chatter, chatter
Now I work a Tuesday and it just isn't the same
I miss the Monday morning chatter by the kettle
Catching up after the game
You can't win, I found this little ditty on a pad in work, I hadn't written it up though. I often write in work when I need a distraction from spreadsheets

Well great goodness, where on Earth do I start?
The Garden of Eden  … or the bottom of my heart?

How can I make this as honest and heartfelt as I can?
How would I share with every woman in the world, the emotions of every man?

Yes, we hold them in. It's about pride. It's about standing tough.
But you'd really not have us any other way … you love to polish what's rough.

And we really love you, make no mistake, to you we are forever beholden.
We'll not forget those meals and those band aides and all those clothes gently folden.

You taught us to tie our shoes and look after our sisters and brothers.
And that unless we are standing for something correct, we must always be kind to others.

From you we learned that women are our partners, other halves and mothers-to-be.
Which leads my poem in another direction … as I continue my praises with glee.

Our wives took up where our mothers left off and carry our hearts in their hands.
They made us soup when sick, bore us amazing children and walked beside us in the sand.

They undressed us when drunk, both for fun and when it was needed.
And stood understanding when we failed miserably, as their warnings went blindly unheeded.

No matter our place in failure, glory or fame, they were always standing by our side.
No matter our outfit, five o'clock shadow, even our beer belly …
they always stand there with pride.

And in the brave new age, where we all live, they now do things so amazing.
They race cars, cure diseases, head up companies and set many trails a blazing!

What would we do without these women from our birth to our end of days?
How do we love them, now and forever?
You simply can't count the ways!
