Would you offer your throat till the white roses run red
Would you tilt your neck till it mimics the gallows bite
Would you arch your back while my fingers grip you like the rack
Shoulders of a beast set to prowl
Distance met by a jump of static
Graze along sanguine thrum
Intoxicant for syringe canine
Moment to savor before the plunge
Pour in my mouth
Lap at the slice
Nails coffin, sign your song to my back
Only the moon plays observer
Voiceless the scream
Mirror the clouding heavens light
Cherish the life that flows from you
Glee it fills in me
Edge to the end, the final drip
From my arms, to the ground do you slip
Inspiration taken from the first line of the esteemed Meat Loaf's "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth"

you’re the ghost
of the younger you
as you float
down the stairway

catch your eye
you crack a smile
we sit and pine
for a while

down the drain
pour the coffee that
we didn’t drink
too cold

hear the girl
in the stereo
singing tunes
from long ago

don’t lie to me my friend
are we really at the end?
should’ve dressed for the event
but i know we’ll meet again

i’ll wear something black and red
you’ll apply my favorite scent
and if still we both forget
then i’ve loved you ’til the end

i’m the wraith
of the younger me
as i joke
to see you laughing

hear the boy
on the radio
as your gaze
meets the door

don’t lie to me my friend
are the waves upon the sand?
they may rip you from my hand
but i know we’ll meet again

and i’ll wear my darkest cape
you’ll put on your finest lace
and if still we should forget
then i’ve loved you ’til the end

Sharp and seductive your words linger in my brian
Soft kisses, a wandering tongue, twinging bites
Your teeth on my skin and your hands on my waist
The pull of your sweet subtle venom compels me
I am yours to take piece by piece under your spell
Forever isn’t needed I merely want you in the present
Sanguine intoxication by the fantasy of what could be
Should forever take us both idyllically holding one another
Staring into locked eyes the glint of possibly beckons
Reality states I am merely another fledgling
Admirer bowing at your feet daring to stand up
I am a mirror and so are you, reflecting echos
Of what each of us thinks the other missed

A scary vampire at night
And I got a terrible fright
He craved for my blood tonight and
He'd swooped in from the night
With fangs shining so bright
And he left me for dead
On that cold dark scary night.
