a fleeting glimmer
as her eyes reflect the light
the taste of her
soft, sweet, lingering
on your tongue.

you need her to survive,
and without her
you crave, you crave, you crave.

hold her gently, love
cup her in both hands
and treat her tenderly

else she'll slip away
her shadow
a stain on your favourite jeans.
grammarly shut up i literally use british spelling????

found this in my scribble book as a section of a four part poem might end up posting all of it might not but who knows definitely not me
Heavy Hearted May 2019
down by the river, we see through the shore,
and bear witness as human proclivities roar.

Diving into the water, we hold its wet hand
for the rivers enlivenment, so few understand:

so down by the river, we will lay in its bed
while lullabies sung by the lapping waves tread;
as the river explains, in liquid morals unsaid-
its teachings, in riptides ,flowing into our head.

as the sun on the water, scintillating, does glow
it calls to us now as we're destined,

we go.
