i want to live alone
with you
i want to eat alone
with you
i want to get a pet alone
with you
i want to travel the world alone
with you
i want to be alone
with you
i just want us to be alone,
together,
until we don't
feel lonely anymore
i just want us to be alone, together, until we don't feel lonely anymore

It's been a while since Love came to call,
O, to hear its footsteps just once more!
So I've asked the moon to shine brighter
On the pathway leading to my door

But the moon told me Love needs no light --
Down the darkest paths it finds its way,
For Love itself is the light that guides
Wandering feet that at times tend to stray

O, sagacious moon, you've earned your crown!
Guardian of the melancholy hour;
Can you tell me why Love hesitates
To unchain me from this lonely tower?

Has my heart been deemed an unfit host?
Absurd! Warmth and tenderness abound!
Chambers exude tolerance and peace . . .
Where might a more perfect nest be found?

An old weeping willow keeps its watch,
Straining to hear Love's knock at my door;
And it weeps with me throughout the day --
But when night falls, I cry so much more

No birds violate the evening's calm --
They've no reason to burst forth in song;
Filled with pity, they hear my laments,
Chiding Love for tarrying too long

I draw comfort now from memories,
Memories that time cannot erase;
But Hope's candle flaunts a radiant flame,
Just in case Love's listening  . . .  just in case

from far away i heard its cry
the fiery body in the sky

its loneliness, its fear of dark,
as it alone as Noah's ark
in perfect curve as elephant's tusk
sails the skies from morn till dusk

though all about on it depend,
the moon in shine, the planets in wend,
it knows not its own power
the energy it showers every hour

so too, my friend, you'll never know
the worth and warmth you endow,
upon all life that's round about
yeah, e'en on your bowing out

as star within the heaven's festoon
the silver dust that's liberal strewn
pulsates with unending light
so you, my child, shine so bright

so place a smile on those lips
and sail the sea as naval ship
let not the darkness you eclipse
your soul's music on this life-trip

I find peace in the dimmed light.
Expectation does not ever set you free,
not of the others, not of thee.

Upon the fall of but a pair of eyes;
the last drop of comfort dries.
Their tinted lens, stare into my soul;
eating my thoughts and planting their own.

I find the abyss in myself,
as I, find myself, in the abyss.
I find peace in the dimmed light.
I find peace in the dimmed light.
In solitude, I find myself.
A celebration of solitude.

There's an ache deep within my heart
An itch that cannot be scratched
Perhaps, a space that cannot be filled in
Currently occupied with anger, confusion, and pain

Nor am I clear on what I'm looking for
But every now and then, the tears do pour in a stupor
...

Is this loneliness?...
But I'm happy alone,
Always been,
happy on my own...
Is this ungratefulness?...
But what is it that is my happiness?...

...

No invitations have been yet sent
It will remain a vacant room, no one to rent
For now and a little bit longer,
... I know,... for sure..
For sure...

As bitter as it is bitter,
let's somehow keep looking for... the better...

The better...
The... better...
?

The bar of soap
smooth and curved as old driftwood
it is familiar to me.
Precious to me.
All of its shape and all of its use
is my own.
And with each use
it lessens and grows
in my heart.
When it is gone
I will open a drawer
and a new bar will sit
where it sits
and eventually I will forget
I ever loved it
and the whole thing will begin again.

something is missing
i can’t quite adapt
it feels as if i’m already dead just trapped loneliness kills but i think i was destined for loneliness
i don’t want you here
for a good time nor long
i want to go home
where home is though, i couldn’t tell you
