Glory

I look into the tunnel
That leads to the future.

Oh I see glory shining in a tiny spot.
Coming from the future. I see Zion shining.

But the way through is narrow
and darkness is scarey in that line.

Can I walk it, so often alone?
Can I possibly reach that Light?

The Glory is calling. The tunnel does
not turn Up. It stays straight and on Earth.

Will the Earth be filled with
that Glory?

Will there be fig trees?
Will the swords be ruined and made into plow-shears?

Will people live so long then that if they die
People will say, one hundred? So young.

Will there be knowledge instead of
ignorance?

Will there be an end of disease and of
abuse?

Will women and men all be treated as
the equals they are?

Will religions end and other reasons for
hate?

I believe it to be as I have said,
as I have been told all these years.
In the real Bible.

For It says that God said,
But as truly as I live,
all the earth shall be filled with
The glory of the LORD.

A million voices in the city, all crying to be heard…
We walk in groups of ten and twenty, ‘cause in isolation we all fear to be hurt… though we never look up to the skies, to see if the King has returned.

We wear the masks of being happy, full of merry, but all cry from deep within.
We ask ourselves is someone out there listening, and if so, does anyone care?
Is there anybody listening, ‘cause I am crying? Is there anybody there, to see me dying?

We all walk followed by our shadows; our deeds so full of sin.
Can anybody out there redeem us; restore our broken souls?
We cry and look as though we smiling, bearing teeth that hide a lie.
The pain of a man crippled by past pleasure, the deceit of him that caused us to die…
But we can rest assured in this truth, that there are some who too felt our pain, but now enjoy the rest found solely in that coming King.

Some things, you know in your heart and not your head
Because in a world run on reason, peoples soulfelt dreams don't come true.
And being still is losing the lead in love's race
And who you are is really a question of what you have to offer, where everything, is not enough... but if they control you, then maybe, you are worth their while. for its their own solus they sold so flesh and bones is not a goldmine.. its your pounding hearts and hopeful souls they long after.
Maybe tonight i will craft one more dream.. and keep it safe behind the bars my ribs create.. i'll let it brew.. manifest in my dreams.. till like a bad habit i'm exposed and it becomes who i am.. a colourful butterfly whose cacooned past nolonger matters.
feeling caged. when i ask myself what else i have to offer. sometimes it feels like life on earth is demanding my soul.. not to keep it safe but to suffocate my concious and have me dance to it tune.. a tune my soul will see me dance and be lost to me for good this time
