flame
running faster than
you can flutter a lash
flash
rushing swifter than
we can sniff a flower
fresh
rippling quieter than
they can queue on Black
Friday

All year, you waited on Black Friday
Just to Feed your Indulgence.
After, comes broke Saturday,
Which is partly spent in silence.
Next is Prayerful Sunday
Off to church for solace.
Next comes Monday, a workday.
Wearing things you don't need.
Home stuck with material things
You've been finessed by greed
Yet your task is what today brings.
At home, you hear the bell as it rings,
And look at the watch on your hand.
A man strikes on the guitar strings
Then a song raised by another friend.
At least all your friends are here
Time to party and enjoy yourself
Bring me some wine over here
Time to celebrate my materialistic life!

Not hating, just writing!

We all come together on this one particular holiday and be thankful for all the things we own. How can one be thankful for things they own when they are trampling over each other to reach sales. Don't get me wrong I was there to and I am thankful for the things I own but I will not beat a man nor woman for a simple tv that's only a hundred dollars less than the original price it's crazy but hey I'm thankful for the sales too. I'll just wait till monday.
This was just a thought.

Please stop with the ads.
My bank account can't handle
all this temptation.
"Happy" Black Friday.... I will not be spending a single penny today, unless it is on local businesses.

i have to inhabit this planet of panic
to stand among man and practice it's habits
i can't understand this plan of the manic
standing in line to be trampled by havoc

a mad dash to the racks and cabinets
their drawn to a status as if it's a magnet
pressed against glass, madly and frantic
planning their route to the plastic gadgets
this series is about an alien from another planet, who is stuck on earth...this is how he might see things

A creation from big corporations
Living to buy till the day you die
Looking for the best deals, seems like a steal
But its a trap, a well hidden trap
LED TVs you don't need
Black watch you've already got
Smart phones the same as you own
Subconsciously told where to go, what to get,
we forget what is really important.
The friends and family, strong relationships,
And fellowships that make us fortunate.
Spend time on those we still got
Because that can't be bought,
