Lunar Roses
Dip my hands and grind the grains of the clouds between my fingers
Release it's tears across the soil, saddening the landscape one last time
Allow their prisoners to escape, the sun and the sky rushing out
Beg them to take me with them before submerging myself back into the clouds

I woke up from a nightmare
I could not stand to keep
to myself

you were stretched across the couch
coffee going cold on the table
a half finished cigarette
still burning

you wrapped me up
in kind words that
I could not bare
to hear

whispered into my ear
"one day we will go wandering
and this tiny house will overspill
with dreams'

you are not your memories, darling
you are not the bad things
that have been done to you
you are a fierce flame
that warms my heart

forget them, my love
they are nothing
and you, and you
are everything

the sky is on fire
at sunset

(and you want to know
why i'm sitting
on the roof

the sky is on fire

and I only dream of you

and in Tibet
the monks write their prayers
on rice paper
and climb to a high mountain top
and fling their prayers
into the wind
where they will float
to heaven
and be answered

the clouds:
violet,
pale yellows,
and pink

and you want to know
what i'm doing
sitting up on the roof

so standing
I take the toilet paper
from my shirt pocket

and the wind knows
and skyward it goes)

the sky is on fire at sunset

and my quiet heart beats only for you

On the endless freedom of an adult, I dwell.
With gleaming eyes, I yell:
"Can't wait to get older."
Naively neglecting the fact that as I grow older, my body and soul will molder.
"When I'm older, I will change the world!"
Sadly,
as I got older, the white flag of surrender unfurled.

A mural of faint galaxies
behind my eyelids
vaguely sparkle
like the static of tv -
it isn't darkness
nor is it imagery...
It's nothing
but, what is nothing?
Like bedsheets pulled over
the pupil & iris
staring at a ceiling of
subtly glitching galaxies
Just a thought

I am
        Nothing more than something
                    Nothing less than anything
I stand on the line between
My brightest fears and
       my darkest strengths
                Wind wakes a wanderer
                          Current flows through a sailor
I have neither and I am neither

Forward is bitter
             Backward is foolish
                         Left and right, Death's disguise
            Muddled clarity, invisible light
Multiple reflections,
           Maybe it's broken glass.

The cliff waits for my decision
                But for now,
                              I STAND STILL.

Here's one after a long time:)

Money may not
grow on trees
But far too many people
are willing to go
out on a limb for it
