Exhaustion
Jacob Everett May 2019
There's nothing worse than
Feeling exhausted at the end of the year
So tired that you can't function
And things aren't abundantly clear.
This poem got out to my tiredness that I'm experiencing at this current moment.

You are an angel
Sent from above
One that I've prayed for
One that I love.

And oh, your eyes
They hypnotize me
To other worlds
That fill me with glee.

But, your hands
They hold mine
And keep me warm
Sends shivers down my spine.

I can't wait to go
To prom with you
I want you to know
For you, my love is true.
For my boyfriend.

Homeless
Jacob Everett Apr 2019
There's no other feeling like
Feeling... empty.
Where there's no place to call home
until I turn the age of twenty.

Mother doesn't want me coming back
Because I offended her
And the reason why
Is because I'm transgender.

I slept at my boyfriend's
But couldn't stay long
And that's when I realized
Life is all wrong.

I'm in a hotel now
I have food and shelter
But now the things I had
I cannot welter

Where do I go next?
I don't know
But maybe there's something
On the other side of the rainbow.
Hi guys, I'm currently homeless and staying in a hotel because my mother doesn't want me in her house anymore. It's a long story.

My Love
Jacob Everett May 2019
Your eyes shine like a galaxy
Your nose so dainty and small
Your soft lips make me tremble
And my love, you have it all.
Short but sweet I think.

Mistakes
Jacob Everett Apr 2019
Mistakes have been made,
and I'm not sure how to fix them.
I try my hardest to be normal,
and yet I'm still condemned.

They yell
                            yell
                                                            YELL.

And I can't escape
the torture that they create.
This is about my parents.

Lack
Jacob Everett May 2019
I'm running out of patience
Running out of hope
The last thing that I need is
To be hanged by a rope.
Short and depressing.

Not My Skin
Jacob Everett Apr 2019
This is the wrong body
I'm not supposed to be like this
Why did my brain develop one way
It makes my soul dehisce.

I'm not who you see me as
Yes, not a girl
I am a man
Not a pretty little pearl.

But no matter how much I bind
My chest down to choking
My family buys me dresses
The dysphoria they're provoking
I'm sorry for being so depressing, I'll try to write more happier things. :)

Graduation
Jacob Everett May 2019
The day is coming near,
And I'm not sure if I'm ready
I'm doing what I can in fear
In order to keep my life steady.

The thought of walking
Onto that stage
The diploma I'll be grabbing
Proof that I've come of age.

Silence
Jacob Everett Jun 2019
It's so quiet here
Sometimes I sit here
And wonder if the
Noise is any better?

Why?
Jacob Everett May 2019
Why did you have to lie to me?
Did you not trust me?
What were you trying to prove?
Is it me you want to lose?

You make me want to **** her.
My vision's becoming a blur.
I'm getting murderous thoughts.
It's for you, I've always fought.

You lied to me
You lied to me
You lied to me
You lied to me

And now I know how it feels.
Now I know that stuff like this,
Doesn't heal.
I don't know what to think anymore.
I realized I hate being lied to.

Hope
The thing that keeps us going,
Keeps the sun shining,
Keeps the wind blowing.
