your light brings
joy on a summer's night
playfully dancing in the dark

I am saddened by
your dimming light
as you approach eternal night

your life is finite
but the joy your light has brought
will burn through eternity
the sea rises and falls
in rhythm with the moon

my soul ebbs and flows
in  rhythm of our love
lives burn bright
and die out

some are remembered
and some forgotten

each light is precious and unique
in the end which lights are remembered is
insignificant

Despite impending loneliness threatening to suffocate me, one optimistic thought came my way as I strolled wearily homeward today from my work at the library.
Some compensations for isolation might prove as written in the following list.

1) I am not required to retire to bed or awaken at any given hour.
2) I possess the rare ability of being allowed the choice of my own meals and also the given time at which I prefer to eat, whether it be meager or hearty portion of vittles. Perhaps I may fast from breakfast altogether, and then again may feast upon indigestible dainties such as doughnuts or fruitcake upon retiring, accompanied by a novel of my given choice.
3) I am free to write poetry or from such to refrain according to my mood.
4) If I spill my tea or bread and butter falls onto the floor, who cares?
5) Nobody can demand me to clean the house even if it looks quite untidy.
6) If I sing or hum out of tune, there is no risk of anyone laughing at me.
7) If I fall into a trance of reverie and am out of touch with reality, who can upbraid me?

The list could go on and on interminably, but to sum the matter up, in short, I can most thoroughly indulge in all my whims be they ever so eccentric in tranquil solitude with no threat of a wife to nag or henpeck me. I am free to cry, laugh, sing, daydream, talk to myself, and every other foolish or wise thing a healthy man might crave to accomplish.
Thus musing upon these blessings, I strolled homeward with a lighter heart despite life's insurmountable obstacles.

the entertainment world mourns, a comic genius passes on
the entertainment world mourns, a comic genius passes on
he'd make side splitting gags, now the laughter is muted
he'd make side splitting gags, now the laughter is muted
now the laughter is muted a comic genius passes on
the world mourns the side splitting entertainment

to the stage in the sky he's gone, Heaven will welcome him

the stage up in Heaven will welcome him
he'll do a few routines for the crowd up there

Good Morning Vietnam, we'll always remember
Good Morning Vietnam, we'll always remember
that was Robin's finest hour, a rowdy voice over the air waves

we'll always remember a rowdy voice over the air waves
Good Morning Vietnam Robin's finest hour

we'll always remember, Good Morning Vietnam
a comic genius passes on, to the stage in the sky he's gone
a rowdy voice over the air waves, he'd make side splitting gags
Heaven will welcome him, a few routines he'll do
for the crowd up there , now the laughter is muted
the entertainment world mourns, that was Robin's finest hour

It's a sticky situation
Like the sap from Maple trees
With the sweetest of sensations
Like honey from a bee

It's a desperate feeling
Like hunger pangs unleashed
But also kind in its dealings
Like a caged bird being set free

It's a door that swings wide open
A coolness to the breeze
A moment of interloping
But only cause it feels the need

It's a tree reaching for the Heavens
The strongest beating of a drum
It's the Answer and the Question
As assuring as the stars above

Could it be love

A good day where the sun shines and light up a life.

Feel the ease of how the music in the wind makes grasses dance in this cool breeze. Witness how the trees groove to the beat. Listen to the flock of birds singing as they make a great team. Lovely harmony!

I sway to the rhythm making my way for a beautiful day. Oh! Look at those flowers. I'd rather not pick, admire the petals and hear them speak.

Riding my bicycle led me to tranquility where the water falls freely and how I make my reflection silly. >.<

Alas! It's the dark of the night. Listening to my mother's sweet and gentle hum of a lullaby. Under this moonlight is the highlight. The sight of those stars shining so bright. My mind's a maze as I gaze how dazzling God's creation made.

. . .

This world is full of surprises! Everything is priceless.

Exactly the feeling when I was a kid. How could I be so busy growing up not knowing I'm already missing every inch of this wonderful life. (Technology and war in this world are pulling the real happiness down T_T) I should look around like what I've always did. There's more to see. They are just waiting and hoping to be loved and appreciated again :)
