I was going to write of Poe
but most people know his story
The point is he was a damaged
human being
but absolute talent
still overcame
If you write dark poetry
WRITE ON
I may not "like" all of it
but I have a dark side, too
I've been through some very dark times
I write of my drug and alcohol addiction
But i DID overcome
Just because I write of Jesus Christ
(who literally saved my life)
doesn't mean I don't read and
appreciate the dark side
I'VE BEEN THERE
