[WE HAVE NICE BONES / YOU HAVE NICE BONES / I HAVE UGLY BONES BUT WITH YOU THEY FEEL NICER / OR AT LEAST LESS UGLY / DO GHOSTS HAVE BONES?]

1.

we don't love our bodies properly.
mostly we just listen to the sky
as it changes colors
over the river
outside of my bedroom window.

i don't like thinking about the way
my body looks like next
to yours. there is so much flesh on mine
that i'm not sure who it belongs to,
or where it is supposed to go.

the sun mixes with your face
to reveal just enough
of your tongue
and your teeth.
there are some nights when i picture
a wolf in my bed,
but tonight
is not one of those nights.

you are making me the wolf.

2.

in the morning
you cut yourself
trying to open up a bottle of wine.

there is blood.

we see it, for a second,
but cannot picture it ever coming
from either one of our bodies.

Sunrises in your eyes,
Silences of the dawning skies,
the grace when you stride on by.

  Soft songs
your child sings in rhyme.

The rainbow
when the rain is still,
the silence of my heart when
I lay with you -

Birds that fly so free,
the ocean wave
as it drifts towards me.

Winds blowing high in the trees.
Sleep as it descends on me.

Beauty in the flowers
we hold within.

Nature's course,
it comes and goes,
we know.

There's beauty in
our harmony
our poetry
our one singing voice.

There is beauty
in the lives we
live, as they
run
their course.

Hayleigh
She anchors me
And yet at the same time
Sets me free.

Bluebird
It runs along my side,
it bathes with me in the sea,
it never lets me catch it,
but he captures it in his green eyes,
and then illuminates me.

I want the kind of love
That's quiet

Quiet like tea and a blanket in the morning

I want a love that's soft
That's honest and deep and true
That's always there

Love that's not for show
Or for power
But love simply because love is felt

I want a love that accepts and encourages
I want a love that embodies peace
Love is groovy
awakening* to each moment
to each breath
to boundless *silence
By these woods I've come, wildly green
mossy step of days, long the forest rain
refresh my breath, breathe deep of trees
hovering grey ghostly steam
the smoking warmth of sun that comes
to sing with birds, perched upon
soft sword and leather fern
laced with berries wild
and faeries good
sing green of home
they wildly roam, safe amid
the bracken woods
