Boeing 777
MH17
17/7/14.

“ Most of the passengers had no race,
But today they gained a nationality.
Today, we are united in grieve. “

Tragedy struck again,
One strike after another,
One blow after another.

Today, we lost 295 people,
Out of a grand total of 7.046 billion people.

To an individual,
The figures may mean nothing,
Comparatively.

But as a nation,
This was a hard one to accept.

How do you digest the fact that
295 people lost their future,
Overnight.

How do you digest the fact that
295 people are gone just like that.

How do you accept the fact that
Your country is falling apart,
Slowly,
But surely.

Those no longer with us
They flew,
But were taken from the sky.
They are now all flying with there wings extended
Children so many did cry,
Silenced with an act of violence.
So many now feeling the pain
They weep for feeling for the lost,
MH17 was taking them home,
Family,
Friends,
Children,
Never to see those who were waiting
Now tears fall to the ground
We wish those who were lost
That at least there is some peace
When they finish there journey
Rest in peace MH17
May justice be served to those who silenced so many
With an act of violence, now is the time for peace.
Upset me that there were 80 children on board..

Sometimes life *****. BIG time. And what ***** is that, it's not your fault. It is not your fault to go on that plane because you didn't know that THAT was going to happen to all of you. I wondered how excited all of you must be by the time you got into the plane. Were you thinking of your family back home? Were you thinking of how tight will your family's hug would be, once you landed into your destined destination? Were you thinking of how their faces might look once you have seen them waiting for you in the airport? The tears. The laugh. The hugs. The kisses. Those precious moments didn't happen which ****** even more. To be honest, I feel sorry. I feel sorry for being alive. I feel like I have burned my whole being. I feel sorry that I can't do something to save all of you. But mostly, I feel sorry because all that I can do right now is to be alive. To be alive for all of you. It seems unfair. Life is unfair. But I hope that I will meet all of you someday somewhere in heaven. Someday when I'm already an old young lady warm in her bed. I don't know your names. I don't know who you are. But if you are reading this now up from above, I want you to know that I love you. All of you.

Hugs and kisses from the earth,
Grace. ***

She's down and all on board are lost
in a country full of hate.
Unnamed bodies lie and rot,
victims of collateral shame.

Like blackbirds pulling worms from lawns,
they pick possessions over,
voiding evidence, spoiling, looting,
while dead voices scream dishonour.

The freedom to fight for your side
or just to fight another tribe.
Fingers pointing, picking fault,
while expert pickers are deterred.
Newsmen gather every word.

They were scattered, here and there.
Some were in pieces, some intact.
Some were strapped into the wreckage;
Others lay upon their backs.
These were staring, sightless, at the sky;
That place from whence they came-
They had been headed on vacation
when a missile struck their plane.
The Western World roars outrage
and Dutch folk weep their tears.
“Give us back our children
that your hatred scattered here.”
“The world is filled with churlish men;
Who stole our children’s years.
The innocents have been slaughtered
But no Savior yet appears.”

MH17.... one year further

The grief of families
The loss of lives
Bodyparts in the winter landscape
A year flies
But the 298 victims
They don't speak
They don't cry
They just rest
The rest of the innocent
And the quilty rest
Might never be caught
While the toys as ever hold their tongues

From heaven
fast dots diving
to a no man's land

discarded without wings
soft bags, chairs
hard metal, limbs
my heart too

stands still
in disbelief
yet there is a patent leather shoe
yet I read unfolded lives

my blurred eyes
and my mouth full of thoughts
ask for words
for the emptiness

This far too big event
on an ordinary day
extends beyond the horizon
