The search within is one’s ability
But from the story will be from the greatness letters
In order to be great, one must bring in the goodness
Greatness requires responsibility
Yet, this comes being the one’s reality
Later follows excellence
But added with essence
However, greatness established assurance
Greatness in the teaching
Also nurturing in the seeking
Having the characteristics to excel
But don’t dwell in Oh Well
Once greatness is administered, you are now a success
But it is acknowledging sustaining with a confess
Then finally, the end result reaching satisfaction
But there were nine functions in greatness that required action
I had stated adding to the indication
But it was all part of persuasion
So you are looking to be great but show the greatness of you
Examine all the words I established and carefully go through
The greatness is waiting for you to open
Are you confident, feel your ability and assured?
Now it is up to you to make it happen, but following your own accord.

Every day, a new sentence
prepared in our heads
We try to plan out our lives
but they never coincide
I'm looking up to the sky
With all these questions why
thinking that I'll get answers in reply
I can't seem to think straight
Thought I had all this sense
But I can't find the change
And every day I check,
that a new day has come
But I'm a song stuck on repeat
one that sticks in your conscious for weeks

Why am I not living life the way I should
Seems I’m stuck in traffic Morning and night
Work all day just to come home to sleep away the night
Is this really all I'm meant to be
Used to think I was meant for greatness
Now I just can't see, that being me.
Feels like I've left this all too late
I came unprepared to storm this gate
Better turn back now,
just let this dream fade

Always thought greatness
was where my life would lead
But now I see, I didn't need greatness
To feel fulfilled and succeed
Thought fame would be away
To achieve everything I'd need
But fame just brings disaster
and attention I really don't want
So I think I can be happy with what I've got

And this is no real story
Just thinking out loud
Through fingers, I keep typing
Hoping this will connect
Maybe someone out there
Needs something to which they can relate
And I've felt those feelings
where you spiritually connect
In others writings, It's a talent
Which is a blessing to possess
I'm trying to find that spark
That helped me light up the dark
Haven't written in so long
But I know this is somewhere I belong

I've written a bunch of verses
Unfinished works, Sometimes it truly hurts
losing motivation for something
you once so dearly loved
It got you through all those hard times
Now you won't even take the time
To write out some lines,
think of some quips and rhymes
Try to define yourself as a poet
Get those emotions out
With a pen and paper now
So that you can show it
And all those who need to read
So that they can see
there not in this alone,
They're in this with me

Goodness parts, "your call."

Greatness basks in its marvelous story,
Goodness, all content in its virtuous glory.

Seek afar,

People tell me stories, so I listen
to their tales of heroism.
They fought their demons,
the demons of their own.
Knowing that the results are unknown,
they fought for greatness.
Some succeeded, some failed.

They’ve been through hell,
and live to tell the tale.
Greatness is what they reach for,
but some wanted more.
Blinded by the ambition of being great,
they live a life full of hate.

Those who were not humble,
they suffered and crumble.
But for those who stayed true,
greatness came with no further ado.
Their greatness became a virtue.
We can be great to.
Some day it will come true.

And if it does,
be humble, because it’s a must.
Don’t let the dark side of greatness devour you,
just stay true.
Remember your roots,
for they are the ones you will salute.
You think you know me.
I think I know you.
We know nothing
As we move forward
Slouched in our office chairs of despair
Some moving full throttle, the others stay still
Still
All in the same place
All at the same level
The illusion of movement
Competitiveness run amok and awry
An experiment gone wrong
An experiment in our endless longing, our search
Our eventual journey
As we seek greatness and perfection
While shattering the thought of it.

We have been taught to question
Questions bring greatness
Greatness is what we long for

Greatness has been subjugated
No longer an aspiration, but a trade
Not a product of inspiration
But a product of greed

Art is dead
Love is dead
All is dead

What once was an abstract concept
Is now concrete
And invisible
Nothing
A black hole
Constructed from the shattered hopes and dreams
Of millenials and those who felt like we do throughout history

What does "millenial" mean anyway?
In every context it encapsulates
Consumerism
Greed
Selfishness
Hypocrisy

Art is dead
Love is dead
All is dead
And we killed it

We dealt the death blow.

We lack heart
We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with greatness
Greatness comes from accomplishments
Accomplishments come from knowledge
Knowledge comes from aspiration
Aspiration comes from inspiration
Inspiration...
comes from the metaphysical heart

The hollow men had no soul
and neither do we

We lean together
We do not embrace
We do not take the next steps
Only leaning
We lack what we need to see it through

We are incapable of maintaining relationships.
For our stamina is gone
In its place, divorce, infidelity,
shallowness
relationships based on looks and dreams
dreams of perfection
based on the wrong definition

We are the hollow men

We are hollow
We are... despairing

Despair
why would we despair?
if we did not care?
are we then hollow?
if we worry,
is that not out of concern?
is concern
not out of love?
does love...
not stem from the heart?

Sometimes I wonder
Can you still have a heart
If you have a mind in the way?
I myself am a huge fan of The Hollow Men by T.S. Eliot.
My use of the term "greatness" mocks speakers like Jordan Belfort, who claim that they have risen to it.
My use of the line "Art Is Dead" references the song of the same name by Bo Burnham. It's brilliant, and I would suggest you check it out. The line "You think you know me" references Bo's song/piece "We Think We Know You," as well.

This poem was written 'all at once,' meaning that there were no edits made. This was simply my stream of consciousness.
I seek greatness,
Not perfection but
Something more.
I want jagged edges,
And symmetry long broken.
I want rhythm and beat,
rhyming galore, but flowing,
so fleet, off the tongue of my keyboard,
into your minds, drilled bore
never to be filled but left void,
never to be lit up or explored
save by my depravity, the
wanton insanity that is my quest
for eternality, for remembrance
for the suddenness by which
a heart attack do prance
tip toeing around your soul,
twisting it in, and lithely
make you beg for the encore,
even still won't be satisfied,

Do you know yourself? Between the love and the hate, do you know your strength between the stress and the calm? Do you know your limits between the vice and the abundance? Do you know the purity of your soul and what makes it glow? To know is one thing but to actually understand yourself as a soul, to fully acknowledge your conscience, is the goal. Do you even want to exploit such depth of feelings or do you just ride the wave, obliviously? Running with time and playing with the space that's given to you as it were free, life comes with a price called death. Hoping that the gold you've been so neglectively avoiding, would just turn up, without struggle and ambition, like undriven rewards. Do we learn or do we teach? Can you actually tell one feeling from the other, learning each one to its perfection or do you try and teach what you think we should feel, as opposed to knowing how you should feel? You can't teach feeling. Are we really lost in this suffocating society, slowly losing who we are with what we create. I cant help but think that we're so unaware of our greatness and history until it becomes just that, legend and myth. Why must life be such ways? Why do we fly blind on the horse of time? If we only understood the changes we set in motion, if we only knew our greatness, then to be honest with you we wouldnt make much a change. For we would know the out come, therefore contradicting our very actions. To not know is the very greatness of our own existence. To not know of our self greatness but with learning and experience, and patience to do so, well find out that the pieces that are missing, can be found just as easy as knowing from the begin with. Dont only learn from others, learn who you are also, dont only teach others teach who you are also. Using selflessness and patience. Through justice we will compulse into new beginnings and tranquillity will endure through to your very soul balancing all within, only then will we see true progression in oneself and also others. Because energy is connected, and forever bounded with faith.
