I wasn't her first.
Or her second. Or third. But I didn't need to be. I said
"I'm no good with words", and she said
"they don't speak to me anyway.
Anyway you were the first
to run your hands down my body, stop at my chest
and ask me if it hurts". When she said yes,
I told her yes too.
To this day she says "that was the moment
I fell in love with you"

If you are free of sin
Then throw the first stone
But if you are not
Then leave it alone
If you point your finger at someone
As people often do
Don’t forget that three fingers
Are pointing back at you

When the shoe is snugly on
The other person’s foot
Where the onus usually is
More easily put
As opposed to when the shoe
Belongs to you
Then that’s probably something
You won’t want to do

People who live in glass houses
Shouldn’t throw stones
Because the glass might shatter
The window one owns
Look before you leap
Because you cannot know
If there’s any water
Down there below

Once bitten makes you
Two times shy
Chalk it up to experience
As the reason why
"It is better to give
Than to receive,"
Jesus once said
But how many believe?

When I was a child,
I was given a silver necklace by my father,
Told the stories of how it was there when he met my mother
And cherished it dearly.
But as childhood would have it,
I lost the necklace,
In a full contact game of two-hand touch football,
In the backyard of my frenemy neighbor.
I searched for hours in the grass,
Coming across spiders, quarters
The remnants of dog’s passed,
But never again saw the silver chain
With the little cross
That was the closest thing I ever held to God.
Now I look back,
To the necklace, the touch football games
The neighborhood loving brawls,
And realize youth is an object,
It’s something we hold close
But never realize the importance of
Until years later,
When we miss it
Around our necks,
And we regret
Never truly
Falling in love
With what we had
Before it was gone.

I won't stop loving you
'Till you stop loving me
And even when you've up and gone
I'll simply draw up my knees
And hibernate for a while
Dreaming of the days
When our love was young and wild
Before you slipped away

There is a way out
there is a way to
stand up,
put out your
hands and feel
your way to
daybreak.

-to push open the
heavy door and
open up the
flood-gates,
yelling
"Let me in, for God's
sake
let me in!"

There is a way to
open any door
and let the
light in.

Friends with modesty, honesty and quality
Friends with novelty, loyalty and equality,
Is What all desire,
And
Friends with disability, social inequality and religiosity,
Friends with 'weird' human ecology, and 'discriminating' ideology...
None wants to acquire..

Some traits of these,
Are undesirable for sure,
But not even a single person of them,
Need to be ignore(d)...

We all are humans, we all are friends,
We all are lovers of humanity,
We all are creators of humanity and
We all are sufferers of humanity...

We all are friends, we all are a family,
We all are a human colony..
