You've ripped
me off my
hinges:
Please
build me
a new frame and
paint it
pretty colours
or I'll have no
doors left to
open
Everything will begin
To change
And you'll  *remain the same
10w
Bury me,
Strike my name from the records,
Pretend this never happened

We never ******, or kissed,
Held hands or met

In this new world,
You are untouched, unharmed,
I was never there to hurt you,
I was never there to love you

Blacklist me from this life,
And cast me into oblivion,
Where I was never even born
you are the aftertaste of coffee.
after the jumpstart,
the palpitation,
here you are,
sadly bittersweet.

you are the persisting vision
of a falling star.
its trail of light
remain before me
even after it’s long been gone.
i’ve tried to catch it
with my feeble hands,
only to grasp nothingness.

you are the aftermath
of an earthquake,
of which i found myself
at its epicenter.
even after rebuilding,
i found
that nothing is
as it was.

you are the tune
that keeps playing
over and over again
inside my head.
i’ve being lss-ing
over your memories,
singing a song
i’m not sure
if i’ll ever hear again.

you are an aftertaste,
a persisting vision,
an aftermath,
an lss
that i wrap around myself,
holding me together,
keeping me from falling apart.

I sit breathing
staring at a lit candle

I hear the gentle
singing of crickets

the world has yet to awaken

another day of life
to open my heart to

a quiet morning
before I throw myself into the day

may I be centered by
inner stillness and peace,
so I may share this morning quiet
with all those I meet today
Poem after morning meditation
