The internal pain
Has struck me again.
Turning me blue
Hating everything I do.
Taking me down
Hearing me drown.

But **** it,
I will never submit.

That little voice inside of me-
Hope is what I'll call her.

She wants to see the best in things-
I'd wish she'd never bother.
Why bother hoping things turn out fine,
When deep down you know it's all a lie?

I'm sick of seeing the brighter side.

I wanted to tear his mask,
but he told me not to do it again,
he then swam in the depths of loneliness
I've always wanted to know his fears
since only I could see his dreams,
but he has shown how strong he could be
I ask him questions, he never answers
sometimes, he would laugh
a laugh that would strike your healing heart
he would smile too
a smile that would vanish gloomy clouds away
but what about his eyes?
I see no glimmer,
must be a fountain of lies
he just lifted a dying soul,
maybe he is a hero or could be a villain
but what is the truth?
Again, I tried to pull his mask off,
but he ran away
and never came back.
if you were here
would you see me the same as you see me in my words
would your lovely soft lips recite with such
feeling the words you say
if you were here at my side
the crisp sun reveals more than just
picturesque lake and the perfections of paradise
how would you see me if you were
as naked before me as i am to you now
i am crying inside a river of hurt that seems to have no end
how would you see me if you were here by my side
i would see you as beauties soft hand
come to ease and hand to hold
this river is a teasing of darkness
come to shadow my door
it will pass
will you still be here with you soft words
how would you see me
if you stood before me with none of the words to obscure
would you hold my hand stranger
comfort me in my loss
if you could
be here without words to obscure

I've seen the colour of poetry
It's black and white and blue
I've seen the love for poetry
It's in you and you and you
