After years of his words
being put to rest..

I dug up a tomb of letters
embedded deep within the
foundation of my heart...

Resurfacing memories
that at best, should've
remained buried

Sometimes
here...
       I step in
          then
               disappear...
desire,
          the upper floor
depress the wrong button
               closing the door
instead,

                I am going

                         down

...the meadow and the puddle
you wouldn't come out of

wild and simple joy

invisable to eyes, now...

I wander the meadow grass

the fields where the flowers glow
in early morning
sunlight

the fields you
only dream of
where your soul is always free...

and you come running
spectral through the mist,

I walk lonely fields

She died before her death
But no one noticed
