My Words, Themselves, Bleed
Each spoken,
Written word,
Leaks a black substance;
It feeds my demons, sings them
Lullabies.
And yet, a snake wraps around
My throat,
Snaps my neck,
Tells me nightmares that lead my visions
In a never ending battle.
Grey fire chills the air and I breathe
The smoke
As a drug.
Thoughts rampage, regret
Consumes,
And I
Bleed more.
