Poems

Crickets.
I keep waiting for a punchline to a joke told before I was born
When everyone had their *own
problems.
Some of them I inherited
But
not happily
I can hear echoes even now, the
build up
, the relaxed but uneasy tenseness before the drop of the curtain,
the reveal
.....
And then,
nothing.
**Crickets.
