Beneath the gulmohar tree
In flamboyant love
A tale of our desires
Coloring each other
A bright vermillion
Under his crimson spread
Shaded in blissful haven.

Reaching for his branches
Clasping, holding
Climbing, swinging
Chasing, laughing
Under a bright shower of scarlet petals
Of hearts and heat, of love and life
Blooms of a scorching Indian summer.

In flames, his vibrant burning crown
His canopy, flaunting festive tangerine blossoms
Crinkled teasing petals
One upright
Of quaint innocence in white
Splashed with  feisty passion's red
Celebrating and anticipating
In celebration of us, our love
Anticipating rain..
As his branches reach high for promising dark clouds.

Serenading with the music of the monsoons
Moist leaves of the gulmohar glisten
With wind and water, in gentle rhythm
Raindrops nestle for a moment
Before sliding, slipping
On damp, satiated earth
Strewn bright with scattered orange petals
Of the gulmohar
Drenched and soaked like us.

The Fire Burns
Scattered across eons
In the dark matter tides
Souls energy destined
To enjoy the ride

Coalescing occasionally
Into a being alive
Hoping to learn
For growth it strives

A lifetime lived
Other souls touched
Some in passing
Others loved too much

Scattered back to the cosmos
On a funeral pyre
A plane of existence
Taken a notch higher

Entwining energies
Wait to meet again
On distant planets
To be embodied in skin

Until then though
Surf the solar winds
Seeing the universe
Until breathing again

Her Sweet turn to leave the Homestead
Came the Darker Way—
Carriages—Be Sure—and Guests—too—
But for Holiday

’Tis more pitiful Endeavor
Than did Loaded Sea
O’er the Curls attempt to caper
It had cast away—

Never Bride had such Assembling—
Never kinsmen kneeled
To salute so fair a Forehead—
Garland be indeed—

Fitter Feet—of Her before us—
Than whatever Brow
Art of Snow—or Trick of Lily
Possibly bestow

Of Her Father—Whoso ask Her—
He shall seek as high
As the Palm—that serve the Desert—
To obtain the Sky—

Distance—be Her only Motion—
If ’tis Nay—or Yes—
Acquiescence—or Demurral—
Whosoever guess—

He—must pass the Crystal Angle
That obscure Her face—
He—must have achieved in person
Equal Paradise—

destiney dawn
In spring we met, strangers at that. You looked at me and my heart stopped. I looked at you and your face became  flushed.

Summer, we talked for hours. We learned each other's deepest secrets, our favorite things, and our worst things.

Fall, I fell for your eyes. Not knowing they were lies. Not knowing you would hurt me and break my heart into peaces. Oh, how I wished you would have a warning sign on your back. "Warning, Run and never come back!"

In Winter, I cried for weeks. Replaying the texts you sent me. I went outside in the pouring snow with out a jacket, but how would you know? It was a metaphor of how you made me feel numb and cold. How would that make you feel?

Look at me, I...

Look at me
I'm an illusion
Breathing air
From your lungs.

Look at me
I'm a song
You used to love
But not anymore

Look at me
I'm the dream
You once had
In your open eyes

Look at me
Slipping through your fingers
A flower in the sand
A drunk on the sidewalk
Dying like the hopes
Of those who thought
That love
Will one day
conquer the world.

Look at me
Now
A naked ghost
Searching for a place to go
Away from your storm
Away from your soul
Away from all I used to know

Look at me
breathing
disolving
My own illusion
Becoming.
