Treasure every breath you make
It could be the last you take
Treasure the lake, sail the sea
Little beauty left in the world to see
Treasure even the stranger by the boulevard
You just can't tell the much that person's endured
Treasure the road even if you doubt where it leads
For the beautiful scar,a wound bleeds
Treasure the clear sky and the clouds when they come
It's not everyday we go through storms and find calm
Treasure the dusk as darkness creeps in at nightfall
As you treasure the Sunrise treasure the fall
Treasure the trees even after they've lost their leaves
Treasure kindness like everyone gives
Treasure humanity like all other species don't matter
Treasure every person and treasure the latter
Treasure the world as family probably we might find peace
Treasure all the time you spend like the cash you borrow
Treasure yourself like you cherish that first kiss
Treasure Today like there's never gonna be a tomorrow

The dragon looms before him
With waiting wanting jaws
And with its talon-ed fingertips
It grasps him in its claws.

Together forever, blissfully
They soar up and away
He doesn't know he's falling
As the dragon flies away

And every time he hits the ground
And gasps in disbelief
The pain drags on until the dragon
Offers him relief

One day, wings will carry you
Beyond what you can take
Those soothing claws will let you fall
And crush you when you break.

When your riches
Are measured in shades of green,
the rainbow is never as bright.

When you spend your time
Looking down on others,
You miss the beauty of the stars.

When you count your coffers
Not your blessings
Infinity is but a dream.

What kind of world will we leave for our children,
one that is shackled in hate?
Tying their hands in the wake of the future,
sealing the edge of their fate.

Killing of innocents minding their business,
filling the shadows with fear.
What is the plan to relieve all this worry,
now that it’s already here?

Why is it right that we turn against neighbors
just for the clothing they wear?
The color of skin and the faith they believe in,
did we forget how to care?

Racism churned from the bellies of monsters,
pointing their fingers in blame
When will they learn that we’re in this together,
regardless of language or name?

Why do we hide always ducking for cover,
waiting this terror to cease?
When we can stand up like sister and brother
walking together in peace.

We are all people who live on this planet,
being the best we can be.
It’s up to us what we leave for our children,
why not a world that is free?
Inspired by a conversation this morning with a very dear and special friend.

Silencer
No throttle
Mind boggled
Emotions bottled

I hate people
I hate everything
I hate everything that has to do with anything
I just want to give up
Tired of playing this game
I feel like a prisoner that's forever burning in flames

Have faith, there's hope, at the end of the rope...

I want it to end
I can't comprehend
Why I'm here
Explain my existence
What is my purpose or reason
I see my life slowly passing me by like the seasons

Stay wise, for no one, not even you know what destination lies at the end of the road...

So close to putting an end to this hell
Drinking bottles prescribed, affecting my health
But after all I guess you can say I'm learning to play with the cards I've been dealt
My hollow dark drugged past
Kind of on the edge about this poem

It's a valley carved by moving water
It's a face wrinkled by time's current
It's a hike across the valley's face
It's a trek in through our granite life
It's a shout into the cool mountain air
It's a spike tracing our cloudy memory
It's a familiar echo bounced
It's a family reverberation gone
The mountain has moved
The river is still
