Down the dusty road,
in tattered rags,
He came,
weary,
wilted,
and
withered.

Body bent with age,
bones sticking out of the flabby skin,
with a tremor
running down his limbs,
and with expectant eyes,
He waited at my doorstep.
No words came out from pursed lips
But,
in mute language
begged for alms.

I held his shrivelled hand,
helped him ascend the steps.
Like a child obeying it’s Elder
He sat on a chair in the patio.

The sumptuous fare, served before,
he surveyed with eyes
bulging out in utter disbelief,
and greedily devoured
every bit of morsel.

A rare gleam lighted up his face.
With hands folded in benison
He stood up and silently took leave.

I watched him stumble
along the country track
and fade away in the distance.

Ripples of joy stirred my mind
in ever widening circles
as, a pebble idly tossed
cause ripples in still waters
................
Over a random act
of kindness
idly tossed.......
Love is the cardinal of all virtues…. But love has many shades! Next to Love, comes Compassion…. It is love plus empathy….. ! I believe that even the Scripture minus compassion is zero.
This is a true story…. ! Through such small acts of kindness, the giver and the receiver derive some joy…As an average human being, I am not powerful enough to carry out heroic acts to better myself and the world around
I feel that if one has compassion, he/she cannot hurt anyone deliberately!
Love
I'm lost without it
Bogged down
Across the mountains
I could turn my longings high
And offer up the angels cry
But if I do not have charity
My cymbals crash in rude cacophony

Love
I could donate my very body
In glad service for my brothers
In willing service for my country
I could be swallowed by flames
Give my clothes and all my gains
And if love is not my aim
Work is void and intention vain

Love
Ever balanced with truth
In all our dealings
As our proof
Hating sin
Hating deception
Rightly serving
Until we breach the gates of heaven

Love
You show
And love You gave
To those born of the grave
Upon a cross
Your very life
Through blood and faith
We're declared right

Love
None can mention greater
Than which is offered
By our loving Lord and Savior
Pierced and whipped
Sweat and spit
For the Church His side was split
Enthroned in heaven He now sits

Love
He is
Pure love
He gives
My ransom paid
My heart reshaped
Through His blood I do draw near
And through His love I'm freed of fear
Your eyes were vacant, hollow
Sallow - the colour of your putrid heart
Art is only art when someone doesn't get it.

To be quite candid, I never did get you
Your lying fumes made my alveoli suffer
You tried to buffer your mistakes

But in vain...

The scar on your left ear
Caused by the fear of being overshadowed
Widowed by the loss of your sister
But hey, mister, don't you dare look me in the eye.

Because I am the second primary on a falcon's right wing
I am the initial temperature drop of winter
No hunter can possess the desire to possess my desire.

My lilac fur of disdain scalds the corneas of my opposition
My partially sheathed claws sharpened on the skulls of my deficiencies
Lie waiting, famished
Polished by your lies , greed & misery
Fissures of my hidden deception
In a glass tumbler
Tempting green apple and cinnamon.

So now, stuck on top of a pine tree
You begin your cautious decent
To the seemingly clear coast below
Roasted almonds and marshmallows
And I
Hiding the shadows themselves
Will extend my scaly grasp
Onto your left tibia.
Teeth click with a snap, fangs bared in another threat.
Fur up, hackles raised.
She's growling at ghosts now, mountain song and cracking boulders.
Hisses slice the silence up, sharped knife against paper thin.
Those eyes are wide, ruby death staring into the abyss.
Pupils so wide they hide the red, now they're sinking into slits.
That red glows, that red speaks deep.
The things that she's seen. The things that she's seen.
Lips pulled back, ears battened down.
Shoulders hunched, head lowered.
Lethal crown ready as the flowers fall one by one.
She is a monster.
She is a god.
And what are Gods if not monsters?
Those black hooves strike the ground, one single drumbeat.
Death dealers.
Scars bristle under shining fur.
Nightmare no longer monochrome.
Those teeth snap again, sharp click.
Angry sound.
Bitter beast.
Lost potential.
Lost past.
Lost soul.
She is the remainder.
The One That Endures.
The One Who Stands Still.
Remember who she once was.
She is the devourer.
She is the creator.
The waning light and the shock of lighting.
Remember what she is now.
Outsider.
Shell.
Imperfect space.
Mother.
Wanderer.
The Lost One.
The Broken Thing.
She breaks, she mends.
Trys to get better then slips again.
You can't escape the red.
Can't leave the dead.
She sees all their skeletons.
Their blood is on her hands.
In her heart.
Their voices sound in her head.
Screaming their damnation.
Screaming their pleas.
She is a nobody
And you just made a mistake
Leave
Everyone leaves like the sun at dusk
Attempting to make them stay
Very prepared for another to leave because-
Everyone leaves

You can't stir your negative words into my tea like sugar,
'Cause the sugar will not taste sweet.
And the water you boil will be chalky
Leaving me with a bitter aftertaste.

Which means your opinion biscuits will be soggy,
Dropping off into the poison.

The poison you tell me is "Tea."

Autumn is here
mesmerized
by the enchanting wind
dancing leaves
slithering to their resting place
lugubriously
