You were aiming for the moon,
lifting your head as high as your neck would let you

But as you were walking,
you forgot to look down

...
so you slipped and fell
Two birds, one stone: a metaphor about the importance of modesty; another metaphor about keeping a grasp on reality, no matter how far you aim.

I could walk down this sparkling road for years,
Crushed up rubies to substitute as an eye glitter around the eyes,
I just hope she soon will realize,
That she is the Queen,
In my world , where diamonds are a girls best friend,
If this is so,
Then she'll have millions who will serve her and pick up random conversations and begin to do the bidding of anything she distributes,
Have something to contribute,
But I absolutely solute,
The black stones in the rivers of lost angels ,
Its not everyday you say I'm glad to have an angel like you,
5 am lights shine upon the diamonds at night and create beauty in the sky,
What a beautiful sight,
When she says she wants her me time,
As in me time she means,
Her and me,
Away from the colonies,
Of diamond skinned human beings.

The Broken Poet
You can say you like a person
You could like a person's laugh or smile
But my dear darling
Never say "I love you"
When you do you have enclosed yourself in a glass case full of water
Slowly and painfully losing oxygen
Because one day you'll have to let go
Whether it's a death or a moving on
It doesn't matter if your fingernails are latched on
Because they will eventually break
Never love a person so much
It is unbearable to leave them
You will forever be scarred of the knowledge that you have lost
what you have loved so dearly
Never get too attached.
