A talk in the sky.
Abdul Qadir Aug 2020
I told these stars about how we met

I approached you and crashed on you

And they shimmered even brighter

Then I told them about your beauty

Not about the membrane, but your soul

They beamed and huddled up the clouds

Thus, I started portraying our journey

From being strangers to soulmates

This time the winds started to waft smoothly

And I felt that romance anew

Which I was used to with you

Perhaps the winds found your remains in me

As the journey started again they too joined us

And felt the same what I had felt once

And the horizon changed its color to celebrate our love

Finally, I told them how I left you alone midway through life

In agony and tears to live my desolation daily, to which,

The stars dimmed, the winds slowed and clouds began to rain

After a time they made the sky clear

With many stars twinkling

Some very bright and a few dim

But the dimmest one was me

A mistake
Abdul Qadir May 2020
We met thousand times, we talked hundreds of time,
We laughed together, we cried together,
we trusted each other, we shared our secrets,
We said a lot of things, we did a lot of things,
We looked in each other's eyes, we drowned in them,
We held each other's hands and pulled forward,
But we could never peep deep inside each other's hearts,
We could never show what was buried deep inside our hearts,
And that's why we are not weeping together today, perhaps.
They should have been slightly more daring.

Vacant Chair
Abdul Qadir Jul 2020
The chair on the other side of the table
remains vacant,
And the cup of coffee on the desktop
Gets colder,
And I sit in front of the empty  seat,
Staring at the door,
In hope that it will open
And someone will appear and approach me,
But every time I get disappointment
And I have to drink coffee alone there.
Is someone free?

The reason
Abdul Qadir May 2020
I know, you wonder why I write poem only on love,
Moon also had asked this, sun was amazed too,
Birds chirped, animals urged, tell us the reason lad,
Winds chorused, rain questioned me, speak the truth,
Fire got angry, but thanks to ice, which helped me,
Okay, let me tell you, love is divine, it can combine strangers,
But I have had a bitter taste of it, but still I believe in love,
Still I believe in her, still I have hope, that she will come someday,
And will give me a hug, kiss me, admire my poems of which,
She is the inspiration, when she comes, it will be rebirth of faith.
Just a simple reason.

The sleepless night
Abdul Qadir Jul 2020
In the sleepless night
My restless eyes,
Peeping through the wide window
To catch a glimpse of every drop falling,
In the sleepless night
My desperate heart,
Full of love and weird emotions
Is seeking her reflection in the clouds,
In the sleepless night
My anaxious brain,
Is drowning in her imaginary memories
And finding her 'sweet smile and laugh.'
While the world is suffering, he is in his own world of imaginations...

Doubt
Abdul Qadir Jun 2020
Am I in eternal relationship with pain?
'cause it never leaves me,
Persists  in my head always hurting me,
Makes me sleepless, keeps me awake,
I doubt if it is due to your memories,
Or just because of my hopes?

Smiles, Purity and Care
Abdul Qadir Jul 2020
In the conversations we had
those smiles you gave
the purity you showed
and the care you took
were enough for me
to fall in love with you
My heart is very vulnerable to smiles...
