Maybe I should be content
Perhaps life was being kind to me
It took everyone away gradually
Instead of in a handful.

Through the summer breeze
and the warmth of the sun blazing gold,
the shining creation would come to life.

Through the leaves changing colors
and the crispness of the autumn mornings,
the world would slowly quiet down.

Through the cold air turning fingers numb
and snow falling like an endless cloud,
the old things would come to an end.

Through the broken ground defrosting
and soft beacons of light coming through,
the new life would take hold of hearts.

I watched the seasons change,
I watched the seasons remain.
I grasped the wonder of God's grace:
never alone though never the same.
Just Wait

Just wait and let life happen
And you'll see without a doubt
Time has a way of fixing things
It seems to just work out

Know that you have options
When you don't know what to do
Take some time and walk away
And do what's right for you

Don't rush and do the wrong thing
Step back and take it slow
Give yourself time to breath
And let the right plan grow

Don't make quick decisions
No need for judgement calls
Get all the facts that you need
And do what's best for all

Just wait and let life happen
And you'll see without a dought
Time has a way of fixing things
It seem to just work out

I can't wait
to blow this joint.
I'm gonna travel light,
blaze a 777 across
the deep blue sea
& if all goes right,
I'll be sipping a Beaujolais
near the Champs Elysees.
I may even splurge a bit,
get a pack of Gitanes
& smoke my *** off.

Then maybe
I'll take a taxi
down to the Seine
to watch all the lovers
holding each other
for those memorable shots.
I forgot that feeling,
but in one day and a wake-up,
I'll be there to reminisce,
try to capture the moment.

When you get right down to it,
in this great big world,
full of awe & mystery,
wonder & heartbreak,
who really gives a rats ***.
It seems that's the problem.
We can write stanzas & verse
until the cows come home,
but does it really matter?
We can electrify
or make some cry with
the words we select,
infect hearts with emotion,
but until somebody really cares,
and I mean shows you,
it's like ******* in the wind,

There are so many upsides
to modern technology,
like the love for it
& the ability to see
deep space objects,
all the hairs on the leg of a bee.
But the fumes and horns
in abundance
kills the romance
& for that,
I hate the founders,
the founders
of the industrial age
who danced with certain death.
