~

dusk brings a chill
o’er the ocean,
this secret stage
where twilight fades
in regent haze;
transformed, replaced
with slow drift,
swirling, mist
softly rolling in.
above, the sand,
a salt-washed beach.
a brimming tide
awaits release
of curtain rising
far above, and there,
like bio-luminescence,
she shimmers in the ether;
ancient existence,
always with us,
seldom seen,
her light serene.
a fresh emergence
each moonless night,
a shimmering of colors,
like a nightly bow
an arch of
color-filled delight.
though this night rests,
not drawn and taut,
exuding peacefulness;
her horse in all its glory,
feeding in her pastured stars.
drawing, telling
children wonder-eyed
of her richness,
of her treasures,
loving, storied skies,
light years in the making.
her curtain lifted,
these moments served,
to but a few.
a sacred showing
to our breath-taking,
memory-making eyes.
hovering in her milky skin,
she dazzles, beckoning;
her adieu at sun’s return,
at our rising disappears.
awaits another
night's re-appearing,
her celestial flow
like a river of
imagination, rippling,
much to our surprise,
a gifting
to awakened eyes,
never captured,
only living on...
in memories,
in moments raptured.

inspired by Mathew Newman,
of Mathew Newman Photography
who captures the night sky so skillfully,
of the milky way rising above the pacific ocean
along southern oregon's secret beach.
his name for the photo that inspired this,
"Celestial Flow", of course.

sorry, i am not permitted to include links
but simply add www. to both these below and you will find what inspired me:

Three parts treasure hunter
to two parts scientist,
the archaeologist
with picks and brushes
sifts through shards and ruins,
echoes of ancestral time,
burning for answers:

How on earth did we manage
to carve out shelters from the crust
tilting the scales
of survival in our favor?

A cliff house here, a cathedral there
a village by the river
chronicling our escape from
the shadows of pre-recorded time.

We wonder where they all went
and why they vanished, but the real question
that haunts our paleolithic selves,
is who are we and where are we going?

Pleased consider checking out my book,  Unity Tree - available from Amazon.com in both book and Kindle formats.
Fear the poets that wielded great power with their pens.
Addicted though, instinctively
to that enchantress, dark angelic night,
sweet condensed sleep, eyeing at me,
moon's silver light, naturally
remains my beloved, closer to heart,
One great delight, is this:
my contradictory wish list, that adds up.
I am unfazed, proudly
carry the contradiction of this world
in my every vein.

Has any one any legitimate business
to ask me to choose one or the other?
What you see as contradictions, won't stand, for long
easily merge, dissolve and vanish to take a new life,
as standpoints change, vision gets deeper,
illusions wear off, as darkness leaves,
and  mind learns to transcend beyond
all the self imposed limits. once seemed formidable,
I delightedly see the brooding night
making peace with the waxy melting moon,
falling silently in pearly drops from the sky.
as i drew the curtains
felt a crawl on my hand
that fell on the bed as i ******.

then saw the other of the pair.

i shoved the duo out of the bed
hoping they won't land so far
as to not find again one another.

past my initial reaction
i felt ashamed of the stupid act
and remorse,

for having wasted the time
it took them to be close.

I reposted this poem for
I feel it is important you
read it. I'm sure sorry that
I can't read right now.
My mom is recovering from
a serious illness.  Read at least
the footnotes. Thanks!

I am a follower of
The Lord Jesus Christ.
He teaches me
To embrace the strife
In this place
Of trial and pain
To learn to bear
The extreme strain
He had hardship
Here on earth
He showed folk their
Inner worth
With humility and grace
He bore all and ran His race
He prayed the Father
Up above
Would lead His children
To learn LOVE
Putting pride upon the shelf
To love your neighbor
As YOURSELF

And I honestly believe
'Tis better to give
Than to receive

In these tenants I am free
I'll walk the walk

ETERNALLY

I will hold to my creed
'Til the day I die.
God has proven Himself to me
TIME AND TIME AGAIN.

My mom has been quite ill
for the last few days.
God bless all who have been
Praying for us...
SHE'S RECOVERING.

I may not be able to read
or be on site for a while more
as she still needs more care
right now. Please continue your
good thoughts and prayers.

GOD BLESS YOU!!!

sings too a caged bird

one to forget the pain
the other to make its freedom heard.
