Traveler
Wisdom emerges, compassion transcends
Logic refuses to accept there's an end
Life seeks meaning, people seek love
It's all the way down and all the way up

Imagination stirs the ocean
Dreams surpass the sky
Words flow forever
Through a universal mind

I didn't see it coming
Like a storm
You came
And numbed my will
To choose the one I chose
But to choose the one you chose
This reserved heart you struck Cupid

Against my will
I fell inlove.

We are all freed,
if but only for an hour,
when we choose to read.

Were books a flower,
knowledge would be the seed.
Infinite power.
I think haiku come best in pairs.

We barter a handful of memories,
for a heart full of sorrow.
As we have done for centuries,
future happiness we borrow.

We measure our capacity for love,
with a defiled metre stick of self-image.
Never trading with those they see above,
because what is already broken is difficult to damage.

There is not much that can compete,
with the feeling of being desired.
Once we lose it, we feel incomplete,
like a crossword puzzle being retired.

And with that pain left behind,
we forget the world right ahead.
Up in arms against our minds,
down-and-out, we feel dead.

Here comes another I refuse to trust,
lest my heart be crumbled to dust.
Yet when I caught her eyes,
all past wounds she did cauterise.

This time I say it true:
Bartered love - I hate you.

It's astonishing how difficult I find it to transform my thoughts into ink these days
I don't know how to say it
I guess I never have

Maybe my emotions were conceived this way
To be introverts
To hide in the cave
Where it's nice and warm

I do think about you often
morning midday midnight
Almost as much is the fine grains of sea sand at the shore
Often as my heart softens

I sometimes wonder whether this tortoise computer is a blessing in disguise
Because in the interim as I wait for her while she toils to open a file
I get pirated somewhere in the horizon of your aquarium horizon eyes
Hark, for in that interim
I'm lost in your sweet alloy love
Here in your Turquoise Horizon eyes.

When you find her love her
Hold her real tight
Get her coffee in the morning
Keep her warm at night
The last thing that you ever want
Is to drive that girl away
So when you find her love her and
She will always stay.

Might take lots of lookin’
Good woman’s hard to find
Admit it man,
You and me, we ain’t no prize of any kind.
We’re rough around the edges
Ain’t got no smooth lines
So when you find her love her
And she will treat you fine.

Yeah, when you find her love her
Hold her real tight
Get her coffee in the morning
Keep her warm at night
The last thing that you ever want
Is to drive that girl away
So when you find her love her and
She will always stay.

See women they are wary
Far as menfolk are concerned
Seems somewhere in their lifetime
Most all of them’s been burned.
She’s gonna look right through you
Deep into your soul,
So when you find her love her
And she will make you whole.

Yeah, when you find her love her
Hold her real tight
Get her coffee in the morning
Keep her warm at night
The last thing that you ever want
Is to drive that girl away
So when you find her love her and
She will always stay.

She might have some baggage
Made a wrong turn or two
Better look into the rearview mirror
King of baggage might be you!
Then both you go and pack those bags
In the trunk of that used car
And read the map together
So you both know where you are.

Yeah, when you find her love her
Hold her real tight
Get her coffee in the morning
Keep her warm at night
The last thing that you ever want
Is to drive that girl away
So when you find her love her and
She will always stay.

Last thing that you ever want
Is to drive that girl away
So when you find her love her
And she will always stay.

Yeah drive away together
Bags packed and stored away
When you find her love her
And she will always stay.

I'll wait for you forever
till stars forget to shine,
and oceans become puddles,
words no longer rhyme

Till deserts turn to gardens
where flowers go to bloom,
the grass is red, the skies are green,
the dawn brings out the moon

Till rain is something very dry
and butterflies drive trucks,
when every pond is chocolate sauce
with candy coated ducks

Till basements have a penthouse view
with windows three floors high
and stairways are a place to swim
no matter how you fly

Till mountains are a level path
that you will go to walk
and silence now becomes a way
for every one to talk

Till everything we've ever known
is gone and disappeared
The world does end, there's nothing more
just like we always feared

Till broken hearts are happy,
tears a welcome site
Night comes at the break of day
and daytime looks like night

I'll wait for you forever
until the end of time
It matters not how long it takes
if I can call you mine
