I ooze
      from kitchen
                  to desk
                       to couch
                             leaving
                                    a trail of words
                                                  behind me
:) for all of my fellow poetry slugs...

You look better
When you're smiling
Doors of ivory hide unease

Your smile looks better
When your spiraling
Down down chutes of self appease

And I look better
When you're defiling
All the things that live to please.

I liked that poem
before it was trending.
Just a little humor to add to my seriousness!

when time summons you
and tells you it is your time
you must go.
reluctantly given no warning
and given no space
reluctantly understanding
thoughts you should never
have to understand.
taking precious and valuable
heart space
and shattered soul
you must go.
listen to time
as it knows best
when our minds fail to cease
our darkened thoughts
and we become violent
listen to time.
listen to its boundaries
and when it tells you to leave.
your heart, nor your head
are substitutions for time.
and if it is not your time
you will know.
forcefully or gently
time will grab you
and remove you from
the place you thought
you should be.
but don't act against it.
you will only come to a place of regret.

Days of Dawn
You are
The angel that I see
Flying in my eye
Your halo of innocence
Hides the darkness inside

A beautiful flower
Watered with
Tears and cold blood
Withers without
Lies of her demons

Your inner flames
Cold and unforgiving
Almost extinguished
By the pains of
A broken heart

Days of Dawn
A glass face
A glass body
Perfection everywhere

A glass spirit
A glass soul
Fragile warmth

Glassy eyes
Glassy love
Shattered like your dreams
I saw
two hearts meet
into one

a soft touch
a tender word
to open up to love

life is simple
we live to love
and die in love to
return home
Let's open a book
and read the first page.
Once upon a time
in a long forgotten age
there lived a young girl
she didn't possess any magic powers
and she lived in a house
not locked in a tower
in fact that girl
why she could even be you
let's imagine she is
and make this story come true.
You could be my Snow White
the most beautiful of them all
or you could be my evil queen
your jealousy will be your downfall.
You could be my Cinderella
your true beauty will be revealed at midnight
or you could be my Rapunzel
your hair truly is a magnificent sight.
You could be my Alice
lost in a wonderland inside your head
or you could be my sleeping beauty
exploring new lands while asleep in your bed.
You could be my little mermaid
with your enchanting voice
or you could just be yourself
because honestly that would be my choice...
