Secret love
Edgar Jun 2014
It's amazing
It's beauty as much as we try, can't be defined
Beautiful as a blossoming flower
Then it withers
For it never lasts
But lives on in the lovers hearts forever

Complicated
Edgar Jun 2014
He's her sickness, with him she's unwell
She's his drug, without her life's hell
He's her nightmare, with him she's frightened
She's his sweetest dreams, without her he's burdened
He's her despair, with him she's grieved
She's his hope, with her he's fulfilled
He's her failure
She's his success

Reflecting
Edgar Sep 2014
Oh what a day
Is it yet May
Two decades and a few years ago I was born
Now a man; all grown
You outlive your childhood wanting to be an adult

Loving you in silence
Edgar Jun 2014
I see you and can't look you in the eye
I feel your presence as you pass by me and i can't feel your touch
I hear you speak and i can't just open my mouth
I see your footprints and i cant follow your steps
We both stare at each other and i look away

why I love you
Edgar Aug 2015
You were so sure of me
More than I was of myself
Believed in a faithless me
Amazingly, that was the first time we met
And I'll always love you for that

The Conversation
Edgar Jun 2014
That morning wasn't like any other.
I saw her and knew we were meant together.
We talked for the first time.
We were young and in our prime.
"Hi", I said.
"Hi", she replied.
I faltered mentioning her name.
For she wasn't like those i regard as mere game.
"Do I know you?" she asked.
And just like that my confidence was halfed.
But I knew I just couldn't give up.
Maybe a chance, then later a breakup.
I still see her sometimes.
With such passion, it never dies.
This day i write hoping to let go forever.
To this, i'm still an unbeliever.

You'll Never Know
Edgar Mar 2015
How I felt with you near
Rapid heartbeat, unnecessary fear
I could swear I saw it in your eyes
As clear as the sunny skies
If only I could just forget
Then i'll no longer be this upset
These uncried tears
All these years
I love you
And I wish you knew
You might never get another chance to tell someone how they mean the world to you.

It didn't just happen
Edgar Jun 2014
that sudden heartbeat.
that touch that tickled my mind.
that voice that made me believe i spoke to an angel.
that beauty that made me see the first woman in my life.
that smile that gave me strength.
that gorgeous being that made me understand biology.
those lips that made me yearn for sunshine.
those eyes that made me run for shelter.
the heat and warmth that i felt when you were near.
the feel of love.

An Exciting Letter
Edgar Jun 2017
her heart was heavy
she walked boldly though stumbled to the stationery shop
opened her purse and picked some old coins
"a writing pad and an envelope", she ordered
"can i have the writing pad with a broken heart", she requested
For her heart was truly broken
she chose red ink to scribble words from her bleeding heart
with her paper wet with tears
her world now a mess, joy is now her past
now she is frail and bitter
so she struggled to conclude her letter with a "Thank You"
and her letter was nothing but the memories of a betrayal
Edgar Mar 2015
Words will pierce your heart
Touch your soul
Action is ****** and painful
Scrape your body
Words carefully crafted will bring men on their knees
Will soften the cruelest of hearts and minds
The pen will forever be mightier than the sword

I WON'T BE A FOOL IN LOVE
Edgar Mar 2015
I won't fall for those curves
Gently carved only to slip
I can't rely on your sweet smiles
Only to fall in those dimples
Be cautious of love

had i known
Edgar Feb 2017
We all have that moment
Where we wish
Maybe a lingering thought
Or a worrying regret
Of the things we could have avoided
Or the path we could have taken
That may have lead to a different outcome
My "had I known" today was the conversations I could have initiated

Mother
Edgar Jun 2017
She knows no joy when I'm in pain
Even in pain she bore me
And love so tender she offers
My first love
In the scorch of the sun she suffers
And walks miles to trade her wares
Was she born to suffer for my sake
When she is ill, everything comes to a halt
For she is the breadwinner
All her hope is her children
She sleeps on an empty stomach
To make sure they are educated
When at dawn the **** crows
I know she wakes up in shock
For her burden is to begin anew
A real woman
My MOTHER
Its often amazing the kind of love and affection bestowd on us by mothers.
