Alexandria King Nov 2018
He looked across the room
at the gun that lay upon his bed,
while suicide’s lullaby
breathed into his heart.
Alexandria King Nov 2018
My soul will burn,
For you are worth dying for.
I am lost in the blaze
As though my body is fire.
You can save me
If only you reach out your hands
Into the glowing embers
That comsume my heart.
Alexandria King Nov 2018
With all due respect,
I am sick of being somebody used.
Alexandria King Nov 2018
He was never known
to have a bissful moment.
He saw all of the agony
wrung in our lives.
Alexandria King Sep 2018
The sun sets as I look at your face.
        Eyes sparkling,
                  Cheeks glowing,
                                 And your heart full.

The sun falls into darkness as you look at me.
         Eyes dull,
                   Cheeks pale,
                                  And your heart empty.
Alexandria King Sep 2018
I want to be a bird
Flying far away from everything that holds me here.
Forgetting everything.
Feeling the air beneath my feather tips.
My wings beating like a drum.
Thump
Thump
Thump
And with each thump,
A new nightmare forgotten.
All the darkness left behind with the rise of the sunlight
And me.
