Shattered glass
Shattered bone
amid twisted metal
rings the phone

A wish to get me through the night
Twin flames forever burning bright
Lost souls who've found each other now
Complete in knowledge that somehow
We'll make it through
However hard
We'll grow together
Love unbarred*

A wish to the Universe

Behind a tattered hessian curtain there is a flickering light,
but this isn't what should be on her bedside right.
My first 20 worder (as instructed) - I may continue this one at a later date.

Much poetry
May fade quickly
From memory.
Though there are such
That move us much,
Our souls do touch.

Catch us off guard
Or strike a chord,
Our hearts reward.
Some witty, wry
Some make us cry
Or wonder why.

Others inspire
Dreams and desire,
Ignite a fire.
Many appeal
for they are real,
They make us feel.

The truly great
Reverberate,
They resonate.
"Poetry is to me
As leaves are to the tree"
Kate Barkes Jan 2016
Sickly and rich
laying in ditch
Rupert shouts
"that *****!"
