Jules Anton Dec 2020
many miles how do you know
a man waiting
a man saving
his time
one by one
a fold countered by a fold

he is surrounded by strangers
who do not know
many miles
his blood and heart awaits
saving their time
piece by piece
waking up
to the dark and ceiling

many miles
hopelessly
hands folded over
two by two
heart clenching
strangers who do not know

in the end a verdict is passed
one by one
like the ends of roads
and the large billboard sign waiting ahead
telling you how it ends
before you know it
it ends

i've stopped addressing my letters to you
this one is the last
i promised

but every word i write
it all unravels and coils around
the subject that is you
Jules Anton Sep 2020
i remember for a long time i was trying
i tried to remember your smile
and your words
i tried to remember your laughter
and how your fingers skim over skin
i told myself
i will never forget
but i came back to those soft-pressed papers
just to find you
again

the skies were your eyes
and there was nothing
like how the clouds framed your blue
and maybe i was dreaming
but i remember
exactly how
you smiled
though i never heard
what you said
Jules Anton Mar 2020
you left me memories
of the past
by the cherry blossoms
you held so dearly to your heart
Jules Anton Mar 2020
i know
i'll always be yours

because of your smile
and how you laughed
and the way your fingers moved

i knew
for a long time
that i'll always be yours

Do you see her?
Do you believe her?
The mirror that is cracked,
the smile that turns feral.
How long have you known?
Years in passing,
you might not have seen it at all.
Do you understand?
She cries,
she does.
But they all want her tears of gold,
not her pain.
Pain, the only thing
that is real.
