A baby born in love
More than just a child
Here to fill our greatest need
This baby born to us

Born out of flesh and spirit
The perfect child in time*
One day to heal the lame, the sick
Give sight to the lost, the blind

A way to reconcile
The fallen heart of man
Here to offer the purest  sacrifice
*Fulfilling God's loving plan
Thank you to my sister in Christ Connie aka coloured-life for the help, support, and distant friendship!
her viking fishnet and lace looks
smash me in the face as she saunters into the room
shes perfect to the sheen of her paint by numbers lipgloss
rough to the stiletto razor blade cutting carpet
as she walks over to and melts into the chair next to me
witchita honey on the miami shore
got that deep tan and 'pensive jewels to prove
shes no snow bunny

she laughs at something like shes so entertained
she unloads her wares all over the table
and plays with the chrome handled pistol
while flicking her bick
she likes to be on fire and dangerous
witchita honey on the miami shore
in a barely there bikini
shes perfections mounted on high heels
moving through the endless party
like she was born to be
witchita honey whatcha' gonna do
whitchta honey do you even know who you are

she knows its gotta be funny even when its not
cause it cant stop being a good time
cause the endless party will leave you in the dust
if you aint too hip to cry
she pauses in her two ****** binge
looks me dead in the eye
and down in there i see a tear
down in there i see a lost girl
push past the noise i know you aint no fool
baby take my hand
ill get ya out here
leave it all behind witchita
leave it all behind
its hard to write 'beautiful love poems' all the time..especially when i'm stressed out or something...this piece isn't as dark as i can get...shes a friend...and shes a really nice girl
I looked and saw for the first time today
My mothers hands
I'd seen them before of course
Yet, today as she passed me a cup
I saw her hands
I saw the paper thin skin
The wrinkles created by wear
The work that had made them crumpled
The love that made them soft
Her long fingers remain
Yet pain courses along with the blood
Gnarled joints reveal her time spent
Working, mothering, caring, loving and soothing
One day my hands will map my life
Just as hers do
But my hands won't match the
Pain, sorrow, hard work or
Mothering.

I saw you
taking us that back way
to the mall
waited  for us to finish
on a bench outside
while we rifled through
those objects of our desire
on the way back home
the radio’s playing
the same song
I hear right now
suddenly
you are sitting
right here with me .
A song came on that brought back a memory of an ordinary day in my life  with my late husband. The early years  of mourning  circa 2005

The Love is gone
We lost it again
In shapeless form
You knew me then
I know you still
Like raindrops rushing
To the windowsill
Our love is gushing
Like ****** wounds
It will dry out soon
We wear our pasts
Like secret masks
And talk in flicks
Of necks and wrists
We're finally done
And the love is gone
To be reborn
In shapeless form
To be held in scorn
Forever on and on
Fingers shake.
Scribble down one last thought.
Sigh of relief.
Lay envelope under pillow.
Eyes close.

This is a poem,
Like any other poem.
About a girl who met a boy.
Did they fall in love,
Yes,
They did.
They fell,
Like the rain.
Then,
One day,
The boy,
Smiled.
And that was that.
But,
The girl,
She couldn't forget.
She couldn't forget that smile.
And, so
She wrote to him.
A poem a day.
Everyday,
Before she slept,
Slipping them under her bed.
With each passing day,
The girl wrote a new poem.
And soon,
She became an old woman.
But,
The boy had also become old,
And, once again, he left,
Resting in peace.
When she found out.
The old woman didn't know what to do.
So,
She wrote one last poem,
And slipped it under her pillow.....

The old woman down the street had died.
Who was she?
No one came to her funeral.
Apparently, there were pieces of paper stuffed under her bed.
Its trash now.
There's no way I could justify
any of the failed loves.

They only demanded from me

a little more strength
some more endurance
walk a longer length

but when close to the peak
my knees grew weak
doubts brewed in my head
my resolves started to fade
I was seeking more precision
more commitment from the other side

and what happened was no doubt
their obvious fallout

a retreat when it would have been right
to in love scale the needed height.

Then as a cover up of my shame
tainted the other with all blame
last nail in the coffin being
hold her responsible for everything
then solaced in escape's upbeat mood
saying what happened happened for good!

Now I have to admit *****-nilly
my lapses in love come back to haunt me.
