the light reflected off one of the
spanish beads in her hair as it spilled
off her shoulder in the rain
a faded tattoo of a bird flying lay there too
it carried a rose with a broken heart

i covered her with my jacket to keep off the chill
as we moved along the deserted road
and she took comfort in my company
gracing me with a complex smile
one with many sides and meanings
like any womans love
shifting like the sea of sand in the mysterious desert
shifting like the masterpieces of the the sea of stars above
no man can utter whats written there
but only a fool can fail to see
the beauty in her eyes

she reached out one hand
and with just fingertips brushed the hair from my eyes
simple but with such quiet truth to her gesture
she knew i could love her
and she knew she could love me
and the sands of earth and sky stood still as a whisper
and the world fell to just that magical moment and it was right
and even a fool could see
the beauty in her eyes
was for no other than me
meant to be

‘We live with forest’ and ‘forest live with us’!
Tallest tree of the forest is the symbol of our hope,
The Python is our messenger of past,
Blossoming flower of grassland are our depiction of smile,
Birds are the our fortune teller,
Earthworms are our marker,
Butterflies are our messenger of worship,
We design our life with them,
They are our image of clan and family,
We can’t live without them,
Our aspiration is tuned with their respiration,
We are cheerful with them!

Now, out of the blue, you arrived
and say we are poor!
So, you will build industry for us and give job to us!
But for that,
You occupy our land, our forest, our friends and respiration,
We never thought!
‘You are such a pitiable’
That you can’t build anything without our forest,
But you say, ‘we are poor’!
*

Please, go away from our blessed place
Don’t wipe out our friend!
We are rich and happy with the blessing of our friend
There is no need of your industry,
Please go away
Leave us alone we will design our destination.
There is a community called Khasi, inhabitant of State of Meghalaya, India. The Khasi matriarchal society has a cultural system, where they consider forest as sacred. They have clan forest, village forest, community forest in every village.  There is a saying that “Khasi live in forest and forest live Khasi”. Their lifestyle is designed with cycle of nature and nature stewardship is vivid in their day to day life. Now, different groups are coming up to the area, started to destroying the forest in the name of mining and industry. Ecosystem people of the area trying hard to raise their voice, but no one care about it. In every visit to the area I am becoming helpless!

The sun rise as your beauty widen naturally
The fragrance of the beautiful sunshine
Corresponds the butterfly as they
step toward its soft petals
Your smile that will never fades
are the most wonderful thing
in this World.

You are so adorable
that even the stars from the galaxy
they could chase you
From the moment you've opened
your eyes in this World
I'm glad that you became my Mother
And I'm lucky to be your daughter

You are like a superhero of our century
The way you are, that makes you precious
The way you handle everything
I salute you for being strong
and brave enough

You are so positive for having and taking
the courage to live this life
You are one of a kind
Simply amazing Mom
That I couldn't ask for anything else
Except you,

And I lovingly tell you the truth
I really enjoyed everything about you
Cause in who you are right now
Is the most brilliant and spectacular
thing that we could ever had
As this day bless you with
great joy &
another years to come.

I greet you a "Happy Birthday"
As you grow older,
Always remember
That you are always
Love.
Today is my mom's birthday! So i made  a special poet just for you. Happy birthday!!! Mama
I love you so much :)

The Noose
Head sunk into the soft pillow
Envisioning dreams
That have gathered dust
In the hour notorious
For generating excessive thoughts

Mindlessly listening to the howling
Of early winter's bitter winds
The menacing cold
Piercing my skin
Quick to shiver
These bones have always been
Intolerant of the harsh elements

As though in slow motion
The hours stagger on
Surely this insomnolence
Has made it's point.

Out of a swirl of nonsensical
scenes jumbled
through my dreamscape
a man with no face
planted a deep kiss
on my lips
his urgency knocked me
out of my sheets
in the middle of the dark
aware only
of that aching gap
  sitting inside me
filled for a moment
by a shadow man.
In the years after  the intense initial  deep mourning was  over   for my  husband of  nearly 20 years  and the realization  that I still had  love to give   and share , came this poem  outlining   my inner craving for  another partner.
On a busy downtown corner
As the traffic passes by
Stands a man with a cardboard sign
Can't seem to look me in the eye

But he's going to live, forever, somewhere
So help me God
I've got to show him
How much you care

At a big bank on wall street
With its fancy marble floors
Walks in a man in a business suit
As his chauffeur holds the door

But he's going to live, forever, somewhere
So help me God
I've got to show him
How much you care

Every face that I pass by
I see you on the cross
Bearing all our guilt and sin
Not one of us should be lost

I'm going to take this message
Of love that I've found
And somehow share it with this world
So help me God

In a courtroom with its wooden chairs
Sits a little boy and girl
Their mom and dad are fighting
Their little eyes so scared

But their going to live, forever, somewhere
So help me God
I've got to show them
How much you care

On the third floor up in ICU
With a bandage on his head
He may not make it till tomorrow
Was the last thing the doctor said

But he's going to live, forever, somewhere
So help me God
I've Got to show him
How much you care

Every face that I pass by
I  see you on the cross
Baring all my guilt and sin
Not one of us should be lost

I'm going to take this message
Of love that I've found
And somehow share it with this world
So help me God
I would love to take full credit for this poem but my contribution is small and I added only one of the 4 stanzas. Two great lifelong friends of mine named Bob Browning and Ed Dixon we're the main writers.  Eddie passed of brain cancer four years ago and Bobby and I miss him very much. The reference to the ICU is a reference about Eddie. This poem is listed in his honor.
