My mother always said,
Life is like a river.
It starts slow,
A lingerting childhood.
An anticipation for the deep waters.

A steady flow.

My mother always said,
Life is like a river.
The middle,
Rebellious and restless.
An unpreditctable meander.

A hasty flow.

My mother always said,
Life is like a river.
And at one point it all comes together,
Each stream,
A lifetime of experience.
A river.

The cycle of life.

Hesitantly I asked,
But mother,
What if I can't swim?
1. A woman will take a shopping list to the grocery store, and come back with what is on the list.

VR
What is the difference, I wonder?
Between this world and the other?
Why is it that one holds endless freedom?
While the other, a kind of sad religion.
One is filled with bright colors and light,
The other, everything that makes for a fright.
One is found through the eyes,
the other we see only in our minds.
Yet, the world in our minds,
More real than anything in our lives,
VR,
Why oh why!
